Chapter 385: The Most Embarrassing Incident of this Lifetime

Once she finished the medicine, she got all dizzy and crashed out.

Bradley hadn't returned, and Ella dared not let her guard down. She stayed close by Freya's side at all times.

Only when the sun was up did Bradley drag himself back, looking exhausted.

He checked on Freya, then motioned for Ella to leave while heading straight to the bathroom for a shower.

As he took off his black windbreaker, the air was filled with a heavy scent of blood.

A bullet had hit his waist, but it had been taken out, and the wound was now bandaged.

However, the white gauze had turned red with blood by now.

After he scrubbed up, he threw on some fresh robe and went to the study.

Xavier was there and seeing him all cleaned up made his eyebrows furrowed.

"Bradley, you're seriously hurt this time. You have to rest in the villa for a while and not going anywhere."

"No problem."

Bradley lounged on the couch, stripped down to show off the wound.

Xavier applied medicine and rewrapped his wounds, shaking his head. "Freya is still recovering from her injury, and now you're injured too. What am I supposed to say to you two?"

Freya got hurt doing her thing.

This time Bradley's pulled the same stunt.

These two were like peas in a pod when it came to trouble.

"Let's drop it. I'm tired. I'm heading to bed."

Bradley got his wound rebandaged, threw his robe back on, and as he left, he said, "Oh, by the way, Steve's men are all taken care of. Now, it's the Duke's turn."

"What's your plan?"

Xavier asked.

"I had Shadow whip up a bunch of plum blossom hidden weapons, just enough to handle Steve's crew. There are still some leftovers, take them to Ian, let him have a taste."

Bradley said, then left from the study back to bed with Freya.

Lately, he'd been busy training wolves up on Wolf Mountain, and last night, he tangled with York Kingdom's crew. He hadn't slept for several nights in a row.

As soon as he lay down, he quickly fell into a deep sleep.

When he woke up, it was almost noon.

Freya was already up, watching him quietly.

Her wound wasn't itching anymore, but it still hurt.

Especially when she moved, it felt like the wound was ready to burst open.

Besides the pain, the real issue was ... she needed the bathroom.

However, seeing him sleeping like a rock, she held it in.

They'd been together for ages, but she'd never seen him sleep so soundly.

He must've been lack of sleep these past days, as indicated by the dark circles under his eyes and the dark blue stubble on his chin.

Bradley blinked awake, taking a while to get his bearings.

He glanced at Freya, gently pushing aside the loose strands of hair on her forehead, his voice soft and rough. "When did you wake up? Why didn't you call me?"

"You were sound asleep, and I didn't want to disturb you."

The tender voice, with a hint of delicacy, stirred Bradley's heart.

He turned around and wrapped his big hand around her slender waist, locking gazes with her as their noses touched.

"Still hurting?"

"Yeah."

She groaned a bit, her cheeks flushing.

"Where does it hurt? Let me massage it," he said, gently squeezing her side.

Freya murmured, "Not really pain, I just have to pee."

Although she wasn't as fragile, but with this injury, she was achy. After days in bed feeling weak, she worried she'd collapse after a few steps.

"I'll carry you."

As he spoke, he got out of bed, put on his shoes, and then reached out to lift her up in his arms.

However, he was careful to steer clear of her wound.

Freya said in surprise, "No need, Ella can help me."

"I'm your husband, I got it covered."

Before she could refuse, he carried her up and headed to the bathroom.

"Okay, you can put me down now. I got it."

They two had been quite intimate,

but using the bathroom in front of Bradley made her super shy and embarrassed.

However, Bradley had no plans to leave. He just lifted her up and sat her on the toilet.

Freya, being injured, had been wearing comfortable pajamas the whole time, with shorts underneath.

So, sitting down was easy.

Bradley stood there, arms folded, saying, "Hey, you're my wife. There's nothing I haven't seen."

Hearing that, Freya blushed like mad.

Even though they were hitched, they didn't have to share everything, especially bathroom stuff.

It was super awkward for her.

But she couldn't hold it anymore, she just went for it.

When the water started flowing, her face turned crimson, feeling all hot and embarrassed.

Doing this was more embarrassing than intimate moments between a man and a woman. No matter how thick-skinned she was, it still felt humiliating.

Freya looked up, only to meet his gaze.

She wished she could vanish into the toilet and never emerge.

While Freya was all flustered, Bradley stayed chill, his eyes squinting a bit. "Feeling better now?"

Freya bit her lip and nodded firmly.

Without a word, Bradley helped her up and fixed her pants.

This time, Freya blushed so hard she couldn't resist slapping him. "Honey, I'm just hurt, not paralyzed."

Who even does things like this?

He actually... helped her pull up her pants!

This had got to be the most embarrassing thing she had ever dealt with.

Bradley grabbed her hand, a smirk showing on his lips. "You're my wife, I'm here to help."

After that, he pulled her into another hug and headed for the bed in long strides.

Just then, Ella came in carrying some lunch.

Same old blackfish soup, making Freya feel queasy just from the smell.

But since it was Bradley serving it up, she slurped it all down, not leaving a drop.

Of course, most of it ended up in Bradley's belly as they fed each other.

After lunch, Bradley went off to the study for some business.

Shadow came in and said, "There's news from the palace that Kevin suddenly got poisoned. The whole palace is on lockdown, checking everyone."

"What's been up with Kevin lately?"

"Nothing much, but he was getting close with one of his maids a few days back."

Bradley narrowed his eyes, sinking into the sofa.

"Find out who that maid is."

Kevin was a real player, but he wouldn't be fooling around with a maid.

If he wasn't mistaken, this maid had a serious issue.

After sorting things out, Bradley headed back to the room to be with Freya.

Freya was glued to her phone and quickly stashed it when she saw him walk in.

"Is everything sorted out?"

"Yeah, just about done."

"So, when's the big moment? When are you gonna say, 'I'm with you all the way to reclaim your kingdom'?"

Bradley grinned, sitting beside her and giving her a gentle hug. "Alright, but you have to get better first."

"Got it, Honey. I'll heal up real nice and quick."

Freya snuggled into his arms, casually running her fingers over his chest, speaking softly.

"You still haven't told me about your plan. I mean, both Ian and Kevin are big shots. Even though the members of the Sigelac are all elite, it's still a case of being outnumbered. Are you confident you can win?"
