Chapter 390 Didn't Utilize Real Power

"Could you see his face?"

Freya rose from the bed and settled against the headboard.

Ella shook his head, "No, it was too dark, plus the guy had a mask on, so I couldn't catch a glimpse. But he had a unique build, and his voice was pretty distinctive. Using those clues, I managed to dig up some leads."

"Hey, Freya, remember that kid who was known worldwide as the 'Shadow Specter'? He was pretty strong, but his methods were extremely brutal and ruthless, so everyone gave him the nickname."

"The Shadow Specter? I remember hearing about that name. Are you suspecting it's him? But his expertise was in killing for money. I've never heard of him being skilled in explosives!"

"Don't forget, the Shadow Specter disappeared for quite a long time before. Maybe during this period, he went to learn explosives. His whereabouts were mysterious and unpredictable, he didn't play by the rules. It's possible that during his disappearance, he went to serve Ian."

"Okay," Freya nodded. "If you suspect the Shadow Specter, find a way to draw him out. I want to have a face-to-face meeting with him."

With Bradley's plans about to unfold, Freya required the assistance of the Shadow Specter.

If she enlisted his services and had him use explosive techniques against the Logan family, the fight wouldn't be as challenging.

Of course, she also stated that if the deceitful troublemaker couldn't join them, she would do whatever it took ... including killing him!

However, before that, she wanted to give Ian a gift!

Freya's lips curled into a sinister smile.

...

In the afternoon.

Bradley had something to do and went out, so Freya began teaching Matthew hacking skills.

Matthew's aptitude was very good. Ella had roughly explained the techniques to him before, and he remembered them all.

He was already mastered the basic code by now.

"Mommy, when I learn hacking skills, can I also become a real hacker, able to infiltrate wherever I want?"

Matthew's chubby little hands tapped the keyboard as he looked up at Freya.

She reached out and ruffled his hair, smiling, "Of course!"

"Can I hack Daddy's computer too?"

"You can, but it requires really advanced skills, otherwise Daddy will immediately find out."

Hearing this, Matthew lowered his eyes, somewhat disappointed.

Seeing this, Freya blinked, "Matthew, do you really want to try hacking?"

Matthew nodded.

"Okay, I will find a place for you to try."

She thought for a moment and decided to start with the Duke's Palace.

"Matthew, you'll hack into the Duke's Palace's surveillance system, and I will help you on the side."

She chose the Duke's Palace because she had plans for the evening, and those surveillance cameras would be a big problem then.

Now that Matthew wanted to play, she'd let him have his fun, and dealt with it later.

Once the surveillance was hacked, she would have an easier time tonight.

Matthew followed her instructions and started typing the code, but as soon as he infiltrated, he was detected.

Freya realized it was bad news, quickly blocked the IP address, and gestured for Matthew to step back so she could take over.

Ian was an extremely cautious person, and the surveillance system of the Duke's Palace was heavily protected. They had even hired specialized hacker experts to safeguard the network, so Matthew was immediately detected as soon as he entered.

However, Freya was who she was, the foremost hacker Poppy.

She used counter-intrusion techniques to break through their firewall and successfully hacked into the palace's surveillance network.

"Done!"

Freya stepped back, a smug smile showing on her lips.

Matthew looked at her with admiration and hugged her tightly, planting two kisses on her cheek, "Wow, Mommy. You're so amazing!"

"Matthew, when your skills mature a bit more, you can be as amazing as me."

Freya lifted him up and gently patted his head.

"But you have to keep it a secret for Mommy. You can't tell anyone about Mommy teaching you hacking, Matthew."

"What about third daddy?"

He was a bit conflicted. If Mommy was so awesome, why shouldn't people know? Shouldn't everyone admire Mommy?

Freya shook her head, "No, except for Aunt Ella, no one else can know."

"Oh," Matthew obediently replied.

Freya taught Matthew some more techniques.

They continued learning until evening when Bradley returned.

Coming back with him, there was not only Shadow, but also an unfamiliar face.

Bradley said, "Freya, our operations have started gradually recently. I'm worried that the Logan family might still attack the villa, so I've arranged for someone to protect you."

Freya blinked and pointed to the female bodyguard, "Her?"

"Yes, she's Shadow's sister, Shadow One."

The female bodyguard stepped forward and nodded to Freya, "I'm Shadow One, responsible for Madam's and the young master's safety from now on."

Freya and Shadow One exchanged a glance, then Freya casually looked away.

Why did this woman's gaze towards her feel so strange?

She squinted, then made a move towards Shadow One.

The person quickly and skillfully avoided the attack.

Freya looked at her, her lips curling into a smile, "Not bad!"

"Madam, you are too kind. My skills are not as good as my brother's."

Freya didn't say anything, she signaled to Bradley with her eyes, then went upstairs to her room.

Bradley followed her in, closing the door behind them, then approached her from behind and hugged her.

"What's wrong, are you unhappy?"

"I don't need protection."

"Why?"

"No reason, my skills aren't worse than hers, I don't need to be protected."

Bradley smiled helplessly, "Do you know Shadow One's identity? She's the third-ranked expert on the dark web. She used to be a soldier. Just now, when you tested her, she hadn't used her full abilities."

"I didn't use mine either." Freya turned her head away in a proud manner.

The number one on the dark web rankings is Mystica, number two is Invincible, and number three ... is Shadow.

So this Shadow, was it Shadow One?

No wonder her speed was so fast just now, she effortlessly avoided Freya's moves.

"Alright, Freya, whether Shadow One can help you or not, having her around gives me peace of mind. If you need anything, you can find her. If you don't want to see her, she won't appear in front of you."

Freya sighed softly, "Fine, then let her stay for now."

She just hoped that this Shadow One wouldn't become a hindrance to her actions.

Bradley had other matters to attend to and left.

Freya called for Ella, "Go investigate the identity of this Shadow One, I feel like something's off."

Ella asked, "What seems off?"

Freya wasn't sure what was off, but ever since their eye contact that evening, she felt something was off about the way this woman looked at her.

"Do you think she likes Bradley?"

Ella spoke up for her when she remained silent.

Freya felt a bit irritated, "If you've figured it out, why ask? Just go investigate."
