Chapter 402 The Secret of Shadow One

After finishing the final lap, Freya and Bradley rested for a while.

Just then, Shadow One led a brown horse over and respectfully said, "Leonard, here is the horse you wanted."

"What a beautiful horse!"

Freya exclaimed in amazement.

The brown horse had a little tuft of white on the top of its head.

Its big round eyes were as copper as bells, and its eyelashes were especially long.

"Does this horse have a name?"

"No, but you can give her a name," Bradley said with a smile.

He knew that Freya would definitely like this horse.

It was a rare and precious species that he specifically imported from overseas. It has a gentle temperament, which matched well with Freya's demeanor.

"It shimmers gold in the sun and there's star marking on its head. I think I'll call it Sundance."

"Sundance. That's a good name."

Bradley smiled and patted the horse's head, saying, "Sundance, from now on, you will be with Frey."

"Are you giving her to me?"

Bradley nodded.

Freya looked at him with pursed lips.

"Is this your other surprise for me?"

"Yes. Do you like it?"

"I love it. I adore it."

Freya then turned around and got on the horse.

Upon seeing that, Bradley got onto a horse as well. "Let's run a few laps."

Shadow One approached again and handed her a whip.

Freya took it. When she shouted "charge", Sundance swiftly broke into a gallop.

Freya and Bradley rode off one after the other, filling the air with the sound of hooves.

There was nothing but anger in Shadow One's eyes.

She threw the water in her hand hard to the ground

Upon seeing that, Shadow walked over and said, "One, don't be like this."

"How do you want me to act? You are my own brother. You should help me."

Shadow pursed his lips and did not say anything.

He watched the couple fool around up ahead. He wanted to speak but hesitated.

He knew Shadow One liked Bradley, and he tried his best to stave off her unrealistic feelings.

However, the time spent separated did not make Shadow One give up. Instead, her feelings for Bradley were intensified.

Shadow One was his sister by blood. They were orphans.

Bradley took them away from the orphanage and trained them to be top-notch aides.

However, the days and nights spent together caused Shadow One developed feelings for him.

Due to her extreme actions in the past, Shadow had her transferred back to Sigelac.

He did not expect Bradley to reassign her back to his side to protect Freya.

Shadow One saw this as an opportunity.

As long as she had a chance to get close to Bradley, she could capture his attention.

She was head over heels in love with him.

In her whole life, she had never seen such an outstanding man.

He was handsome and had an extraordinary physique.

From the moment she laid eyes on him, she was deeply infatuated.

However, she was just an agent and an orphan while he was her master.

The two came from vastly different backgrounds with an insurmountable gap between them.

She knew she was not worthy, so she only loved him in secret while suppressing her feelings.

However, she found herself seething in jealousy and going mad whenever she saw him and Freya in love. She even wanted to make Freya disappear.

She knew she had gone mad.

However, she could not control herself.

She kept thinking of ways to get rid of Freya.

She thought Freya was just an ordinary woman.

She had not expected Freya to be Mystica.

She knew she had lost.

Before the fight even started, Shadow One had completely lost.

"One, if you love him, why not choose to let him be happy? You see it too. Leonard is deeply in love with Madam. They are both powerful in their own right, and Madam can better help him. You have crushed on Leonard for so long that he would have seen it if he was capable of seeing it. He only cares about Madam. He will not love anyone else."

"In a few days, I will find a reason to let you go back to Sigelac. In the future, do not come back again."

"No. Even if he doesn't love me, I want to stay by his side."

"Why stay by his side? What else do you want to do? I'm warning you, Shadow One, Madam's skills are many times better than yours. You better not try anything with her."

"If I can't openly confront her, then I'll do it in secret. There's no way I can't do anything to her."

Shadow One's eyes were bloodshot.

How could she just let go of someone she loved?

Moreover, she had loved him for over 10 years.

"Shadow One, you need to calm down. If you hurt Madam, Leonard will definitely not forgive you. Think about what happened to Ben. Do you want to end up like him?"

Shadow's tone was extremely cold. He had never expected Shadow One to be so extreme.

"Brother, why are you so upset? I was just joking."

Shadow One said with a laugh, but deep down, that was not what she was thinking.

"Let me remind you one last time, whether you are serious or joking, if you continue to be stubborn, I will ultimately have to send you back."

Shadow's tone was firm. He would not tolerate his sister making mistake after mistake.

"Don't worry. My duty is to protect Madam. If anything happens to her under my watch, I would be digging my own grave, right?"

Shadow One pretended to be indifferent as she said that.

Shadow did not say anything and just helplessly sighed before leaving.

As soon as he left, Shadow One's face looked ferocious and terrifying.

Meanwhile.

After two laps, Freya and Bradley went straight up the mountain.

The two of them walked beside their horses through the woods until they found a patch of grass to sit on.

Freya played with the whistle and deeply sighed. "It would be so nice if Snowy was here!"

"Blow the whistle and see what happens."

"Even if I blow it, Snowy won't come."

Snowy was in the capital city. They were in Solterra. No matter how long Snowy could run, it could not cross an entire nation.

"Try blowing it first. Maybe you'll be surprised."

Freya doubtfully looked at him before blowing the whistle.

At that moment, a wolf suddenly howled from the mountain, startling Freya.

She looked up at the bright sun overhead. They were clearly in Solterra, so why did she seem to hear Snowy?

The next thing she knew, something white appeared in a flash.

Snowy leaped down from the hillside and ran towards her, swiftly knocking her down to the ground.

"Snowy! How did you get here?"

Freya was quite shocked.

Am I dreaming?

She heard Bradley's voice in her ear, saying, "I wasn't sure when we would return from this trip to Solterra, so I had Shadow bring Snowy over. Whether you want to leave him in the mountains or bring him back home, it's up to you."

Freya hugged Snowy, touched by Bradley's gesture.

"Thank you, honey."

"Just saying thank you is not enough. Action is needed," he replied with a mischievous smile.

Freya looked around and saw that there was no one else around them.

She leaned in close to his face and pecked his lips.

"Is this good enough?"

The man pursed his lips in satisfaction and smiled. "It's fine, but it would be better if you went further..."

"You're annoying," Freya playfully said.

She pushed his face away as he tried to get closer.
