Chapter 413 Heart Transplant Surgery

The helicopter descended slowly near the Raven Pavilion.

Black Flame and White Fox approached cautiously, their faces alert as they observed the individuals inside.

As the cabin opened, an elegant and beautiful woman emerged, accompanied by two guards.

"Your Majesty."

the guards saluted respectfully.

Your Majesty?

Black Flame peered deeply at the Queen and stepped forward, inquiring, "May I ask who you are?"

"Is this the Raven Pavilion? I'm searching for Mystica."

White Fox suddenly recalled their boss's second master, who was rumored to be a queen of a certain country.

She inquired, "Are you Queen Sally of Yara Kingdom, our boss's master?"

"That's correct. This is the Queen of Yara Kingdom," the guard confirmed.

White Fox promptly ushered the Queen into the Raven Pavilion, and shortly after, guards carried someone inside.

Black Flame immediately recognized him as the Invincible who had recently escaped.

"Your Majesty, why is he with you?"

"I encountered him near the woods. He was injured and had lost a lot of blood, so I brought him here."

"Your Majesty, you may not know. This man is called Invincible. He was sent by the Logan family to assassinate our boss. A few days ago, we captured him, but he managed to escape cunningly."

White Fox said angrily and immediately kicked Invincible.

Initially unconscious, Invincible let out a groan as he regained awareness after being kicked.

"Considering he's Mystica's adversary, it's only fair to treat him. Once he's awake, he should properly compensate my disciple."

The Queen's gentle demeanor shifted slightly to sternness.

She signaled for Black Flame to take Invincible downstairs for treatment before addressing him sternly.

White Fox inwardly admired the Queen's tactics, fitting for their boss's master.

"You seem tired, Your Majesty. Allow me to escort you downstairs for some rest."

"And when can we expect Mystica's return?"

"I've informed our boss, and I anticipate her arrival soon," White Fox responded.

"Very well, when Mystica arrives, please remember to wake me up."

She had been quite active lately and felt the need for a proper rest.

In the medical room.

Following Freya's acupuncture session for Mina, she instructed Dr. Baines to closely monitor the patient's condition before departing.

Dr. Baines acknowledged her instructions seriously.

After briefly checking on Mina in the ward and confirming her stable condition, Dr. Baines proceeded to his office to attend to other matters.

As he turned away, a figure slipped into the room silently.

She looked at the woman on the bed, malice evident in her eyes.

Drawing closer step by step, a sinister glint flashed across her slender fingertips, followed by something piercing Mina's neck.

"Beep, beep—"

The urgent sound of the heart monitor screamed.

The figure curled her lips into a smirk and then quietly left the ward.

Soon after, a group of doctors and nurses rushed in.

When Dr. Baines saw the flatline on the monitor, his face turned pale.

"Hurry, notify Lexi. The patient's condition is critical."

A nurse swiftly contacted Freya.

By the time Freya arrived, Mina had already been taken to the emergency room.

"What's going on?"

When she left, Mina was fine, her heartbeat was even livelier than before. How did this sudden danger occur?

"I'm not certain, Madam. When I last checked, she appeared perfectly fine."

Dr. Baines said with guilt written all over his face. He had failed to heed Freya's instructions.

If he had stayed to conduct further examinations, perhaps this wouldn't have happened.

"Dr. Baines, don't blame yourself. I'll assess the situation myself. No one should enter the emergency room without my authorization."

Freya opened the door.

Inside, medical staff were busily administering emergency treatments to Mina.

Freya motioned for them to leave, leaving only two nurses behind.

Mina's vital signs were weakening.

Freya furrowed her brows as she checked her pulse.

She sensed a strange energy inside her body.

She immediately retrieved her needle kit and carefully inserted needles into specific acupoints, attempting to control the mysterious energy.

"Did anyone else enter after I left, aside from Dr. Baines?"

The nurse shook her head.

Freya conducted a thorough examination of Mina's body and discovered a tiny needle puncture on her neck.

Her frown deepened at this discovery.

"I'm going to prepare for the patient's second surgery right away."

She instructed the two nurses.

Soon, everything was ready.

Freya dressed in her surgical attire, took a deep breath, gearing up for another battle.

This time, she prepared for a heart repair operation on Mina.

It marked her second attempt at such a surgery since she began her medical studies.

Despite her strong confidence, complications arose during the procedure.

The surgery posed significant challenges, especially considering Mina's worsening heart condition and overall frailty, leaving her hanging precariously between life and death.

"Madam, the patient is in shock."

"Please elevate her head and torso and establish a venous access."

"Madam, the patient is experiencing respiratory distress again."

"Prepare the ventilator and increase oxygen levels."

Every individual present was on edge, wholly engrossed in the critical surgery.

Mina's prognosis was bleak, with multiple urgent situations arising during the surgery, each a battle against imminent death.

"Madam, the severity of the patient's heart failure might hasten her demise if we proceed with the heart repair surgery."

"I see. I recommend halting the procedure."

Despite the advice, Freya persisted in her focus.

She attentively observed the needle marks on Mina's neck.

As Mina's heart failure accelerated, Freya suspected foul play. Someone had injected drugs into Mina.

But who could it be?

Why did they attack Mina?

"Doctor Baines, I need injectable medications. Note down the requirements, prepare them at the pharmacy, and administer them to the patient."

Her surgery could not control the rate of heart failure.

Under this situation, if forced surgery was performed, Mina would really be helpless.

"Understood."

As Freya continued the surgery, she also dictated the names and dosages of Western medications.

Doctor Baines promptly attended to the task.

Freya is obviously a traditional medicine doctor, but all the medicines she prescribed were modern medicines.

What kind of medical genius is she, knowing both traditional and modern medicine?

The doctors in the medical room all went to the operating room.

When Xavier and Ella came over, they saw Dr. Baines leaving in a hurry and quickly called out to him.

"What happened?"

"Dr. Jackson, Ms. Fisher, Mina's condition worsened. Mrs. Austin is in the operating room performing heart repair surgery for her." Dr. Baines wiped his sweat and hurriedly said, "Mrs. Austin asked me to prepare some medicine, so I have to go busy myself first."

"Bang!"

Suddenly, there was a sound of something heavy falling in the depths of the corridor. Everyone looked up and saw Peter standing pale in place.

And on the ground, there was spilled soup everywhere.
