Invincible shivered as he watched Black Flame's sly smile.
He mulled over his escape plan.
But judging by the current situation, escaping seemed unlikely.
Instead, when Mystica arrived, he'd seize the opportunity to kill her.
Invincible began to feign misery, tearfully pleading, "Black Flame, I really know I was wrong. I understand that I overestimated myself when I thought of assassinating Mystica. But I haven't done anything yet, and I was caught by you all. Could you overlook this once? In the future, if you need anything, I'll do my best to help."
He surrendered.
"Hmph, knowing your own limits is enough. With your weak martial strength, you dared to think of assassinating our boss. It's truly laughable,"
Black Flame sneered.
"Yes, yes, I was foolish."
Invincible said, though inside, he was seething with hatred.
Before encountering Mystica, he hadn't failed a single mission.
But Mystica, with her formidable strength, and her subordinates were no pushovers.
He stumbled on her hand twice in a row.
Knowing he couldn't kill Mystica, he still couldn't accept it.
"I'll ask you, was it Ian Logan who sent you?"
"Yes," Invincible confessed truthfully.
"Then go kill him. If you make our boss happy, maybe she'll consider letting you off the hook," Black Flame said, arms crossed, a cunning smile playing on his lips.
The boss had been wanting to get rid of the Logan family anyway, so why not use this fool to deal with them?
It would also save the boss from getting his hands dirty with their blood.
"As long as you spare me, I'll kill anyone."
Invincible was secretly happy. He agreed first, but when he left the gate of Raven Pavilion, it was not up to him to decide who to kill.
However, Black Flame saw through his thoughts with a narrowed gaze, "Forget it, forget it. Wait for the boss to deal with you. You stay put here obediently. If you dare to run away again, I'll break your legs."
Black Flame warned before yawning and leaving.
Just as he departed, White Fox appeared alongside the Queen.
At that moment, Invincible was scheming to open the window and flee. When he heard the sound of the door being pushed suddenly, he was so frightened that he rolled down the window.
There were still injuries on his body, which made him scream in pain.
"Are you invincible?"
"Yes, it's me."
Tears flowing down his cheeks as he silently cursed.
Approaching Invincible, the Queen regarded him with a disdainful gaze. "You're truly a reckless fool, attempting to assassinate my disciple."
The man in front of her was handsome and refined.
Why would someone who could easily rely on their looks choose such a path as an assassin?
Invincible screamed in his heart. He finally got rid of Black Flame, and then a witch came.
What a wretched existence he led.
"What makes you so sure you can kill Mystica?" the Queen taunted him.
Invincible hung his head, feeling unjustly accused. "How can I know unless I try? Perhaps luck will favor me and I'll succeed."
The Queen couldn't contain her laughter at his remark.
Reliant on luck for assassination?
This child was utterly absurd.
He didn't even look at whose apprentice Mystica was, and just relied on luck to kill her.
The Queen glanced at him.
She found this little fellow quite charming and attractive. It would be a shame to end his life like this.
Perhaps it would be better to keep him close, train him well as a guardian.
Suddenly, the Queen no longer wished to kill him.
She declared, "I can help you summon Mystica."
"What?"
Invincible was stunned.
Summon Mystica and kill him with his own hands?
"If you manage to overcome Mystica, I'll release you. If not, you'll need to agree to my terms," the Queen declared.
As Invincible pondered his options, he detected a subtle hint of strategy in the Queen's gaze.
Nevertheless, he genuinely desired to gauge his skills against Mystica's, to assess the progress he had made during his training.
"Yes, you can, but spare my life."
Despite his background as an assassin, he still dreaded death.
"Very well, I won't harm you."
The Queen consented readily.
…
After spending the night at the villa, Freya felt somewhat rejuvenated.
Upon awakening, she noticed Bradley's absence from the room.
Following her morning routine, she descended to find Ella waiting for her on the couch.
"Freya, there's news from Raven Pavilion. Your master is present.
Surprised, Freya inquired, "Which master?"
She had three masters. One was Mr. Gunther who taught her medicine. Unfortunately, he passed away after imparting her medical skills.
The second master is Queen Sally of Yara Kingdom. She is an elegant woman with a high level of martial arts. A large part of her martial arts was taught by her second master.
As for the third master, he is a super hacker who taught her hacking techniques. However, Freya has never met him in person. The two of them met online. In addition, the third master is rarely online. Basically, if he doesn't contact her, she won't be able to find him.
"Queen Sally. She's at Raven Pavilion."
Freya's eyes widened and she said, "No, isn't Yara Kingdom busy? Why is she here?"
"Not only did she come, but she also aided in capturing Invincible."
Freya was astounded.
How did Master know Invincible?
Prepare the plane. We're heading to Raven Pavilion immediately," she commanded.
"Understood."
Raven Pavilion.
Freya assumed Mystica's guise and strode with determination.
Suddenly, she sensed a strong gust of wind behind her, prompting her to squint.
Reacting swiftly, she turned and struck out.
Suddenly, a handsome young man standing before her, his demeanor icy and exuding a palpable aura of menace.
Freya raised her eyebrows, recalling Ella's words about her master bringing Invincible along.
Moreover, the former Invincible had undergone plastic surgery, turning into a handsome guy, as White Fox had mentioned before.
But the man in front of her...
Was he truly Invincible?
Invincible looked at Mystica indifferently and said, "Nice to see you again. I've changed my face this time. You won't recognize me, will you?"
"It's really you, Invincible."
"That's right."
With that, Invincible swiftly launched an attack.
"Huh, how dare you attacking me on my own turf. Do you wish to die?"
Freya was surprised to return to her base and find not a single subordinate but instead provoked Invincible over.
"I'm not the same Invincible as before. You humiliated me last time, but today, we'll settle our scores."
Freya touched her nose. "Seeking revenge?"
The former Invincible, despite his skill, had been too arrogant.
It seemed that even after all these years, he remained prideful.
Some things never change.
Freya casually played with her ponytail, arching her eyebrows as she glanced at him. "Let me see then, after all these years, if your combat skills have improved."
Invincible wielded a military dagger, viciously thrusting it towards Freya.
Freya chuckled coldly.
She took two quick steps back.
When the opponent's dagger stabbed at her, her fingertips gently held the tip of the knife.
