In the monitoring room.
Freya smiled helplessly when she saw Queen Sally.
"Aren't you worried that Invincible could have hurt me?"
"No, your master believes in your skills."
The Queen got up and strode towards her, embracing her. "Let me see if you've gained or lost weight since I last saw you."
"I've gained weight," Freya replied.
"Yes, you've put on a little weight. Looks like you've been living quite well without your master around."
The Queen scrutinized Freya from side to side. She then ripped off the mask on her face and chuckled, "You've become more mature and beautiful, no longer the delicate little girl who used to cuddle up to your master."
"Why did you come here? Aren't you busy with state affairs?"
Freya looked at her suspiciously.
"Oh, my dear, I came all this way to see you. Aren't you touched? We agreed that you'd fly over whenever you had time to visit me, but it's been a year and you haven't come. I miss you terribly, so I came to see what you've been up to. But I didn't expect that after contacting you last night, you only just showed up now."
The Queen complained unhappily.
Freya rubbed her forehead. "I've been busy, you know."
"Busy with what? Busy falling in love and making babies? I heard that you got married in the capital. What's your husband's name, Bradley Austin or Leonard Newman?"
The Queen inquired seriously.
Freya pursed her lips. "Whether it's Bradley or Leonard, it's the same person."
Regardless of his name, you're married. Why didn't you inform your master? At the very least, you should have introduced him to your master. Your master needs to properly assess him. What if he's untrustworthy? What will you do if you get deceived?"
Freya chuckled at the Queen's words. "Rest assured, he's not untrustworthy. He loves me deeply and cares for me. He won't deceive me."
"Really?" the Queen doubted.
"When have I ever lied to you? He's a man of strong principles. When you meet him, you'll surely like him."
Speaking of Bradley, Freya's eyes sparkled.
He was the man she would protect with her life. How could he not be good?
"You speak so highly of him. Well, take your master to meet him now. I want to see the high-quality man who has captured my little disciple."
"Not now, he's very busy."
Freya held the Queen's hand and acting coyly. "After he finishes his current tasks and achieves his goals, I'll bring him to meet you in Yara Kingdom."
But the Queen wasn't willing to agree.
She had come mainly to see her son-in-law.
When she was in Yara Kingdom, she had heard of Bradley's reputation as the prince of Solterra, handsome and tall.
She had set aside a pile of matters just to have her guards fly her here overnight.
"My dear, I'm truly curious. Just take me to see him now. I promise not to disturb him; just a brief glance is enough."
The Queen held onto her arm.
Freya felt helpless. How could her master become even more childlike after not seeing her for over a year?
Now she resorted to using the tactic of being adorable.
"Master, let's drop this topic. Why did you choose to keep Invincible?"
Freya quickly diverted the conversation; dwelling on it wouldn't yield any results.
"Don't dodge the question. Where's my son-in-law?"
"Let's handle Invincible's situation first, then we can discuss it."
The Queen agreed after a moment's thought.
"So, are you taken with Invincible's appearance and want to keep him around as a little assistant?"
The Queen laughed at being figured out. "You've caught me. Yes, I've grown fond of that boy. He's handsome and charming, a pleasant addition as a guard by my side."
"Master, Invincible is an assassin. Aren't you concerned he might betray you?"
Freya felt unsure how to express her concerns.
"Don't worry, I have my methods to keep him in check. This boy has remarkable talent. With proper guidance, he could even reach your level of excellence."
Mrs. Bailey had a sharp eye for talent.
When Freya was on a mission, she had infiltrated her palace to steal something.
At first sight, Mrs. Bailey recognized her potential and personally taught her martial arts.
History had proven her right; Mystica's talent exceeded expectations.
Knowing her master's determination, Freya understood there was no use in trying to dissuade her further.
She didn't try to persuade him anymore, and after handing Invincible to her, she turned to leave.
"Wait, I want to meet my son-in-law too."
"Master, he's truly busy right now. You should focus on guiding your young disciple."
Freya urged Ella to leave promptly as she boarded the helicopter.
The situation with Mina remained uncertain. With the perpetrator behind the poisoning still at large, Freya couldn't relax.
The helicopter landed directly on the villa's rooftop.
Without delay, Freya hurried to the medical room to check on Mina's condition.
Thankfully, everything was fine.
She breathed a sigh of relief.
"Mrs. Austin, thank you for saving Mina. Here's a small token of my gratitude. I hope you don't mind."
Freya turned around and saw Peter holding a bag of peach blossom cakes.
Instantly, memories of her mother making peach blossom cakes flooded back.
She remembered her mother baking in the kitchen while she quietly snuck bites from the side.
It was unexpected that after so many years, someone would make peach blossom cakes for her to eat.
Freya accepted it, took a bite of the peach blossom cake, and it melted in her mouth, leaving a hint of peach blossom fragrance.
Although it tasted different from her mother's, it still moved her.
"Delicious, thank you!"
She politely smiled and said, "But your eyesight isn't good. Don't trouble yourself like this in the future. I'm a doctor, and it's my duty to treat patients."
"My wife and I consider meeting you the greatest blessing of our lives."
"No, it's you who have shown me the most beautiful form of love, and made me realize that there is still genuine affection in this world."
Her life had been full of hardships.
Before the age of five, she was the princess doted on by her parents. However, everything changed drastically when Sophie brought Lola to the Lawson family, taking over everything.
Overnight, she went from being a princess to a Cinderella.
Everything she once owned was taken over by Lola.
At the age of eight, her mother passed away, and she suffered from the abuse of Sophie and her daughter, living a life worse than a dog's.
At twelve, she was driven out of the Lawson family and wandered in the countryside, enduring humiliation and bullying, nearly unable to wake up from a high fever.
All of this made her see through human nature.
She thought people were all selfish and cruel.
But until she met Peter, who told her the love story of himself and his wife, her understanding of human nature underwent a new transformation.
It was not that she saved Mina, but rather, it was Peter who changed the rest of her life.
