Chapter 422 This Man is Truly a Demon!

Freya lifted her head to look at him deeply.

His shirt was crumpled from her touch, with a few buttons undone, revealing a broad, attractive chest.

Though she only stole a glance, her cheeks flushed even redder.

"Bradley, you're always teasing me."

He toyed with her hair, his voice deep, "But do you enjoy it?"

His magnetic voice seemed to electrify her, sending tingles down her spine.

Resting against his shoulder, she recalled the recent events and wished she could disappear.

Glaring resentfully, she murmured, "Enough, don't you want to watch the drama anymore?"

After speaking, she turned away, no longer wanting to engage with him, and focused on the unfolding events.

Jessica claimed the child was Ian's, but he refused to acknowledge it.

In a fit of rage, Ian slapped her again.

Unable to endure the beating, Jessica began coughing up blood.

Seeing this, Kevin ceased, then turned to Ian, stating, "This woman is my personal maid. Since she has brought such disgrace upon the Duke, I will punish her and investigate the child's origin to bring justice."

What could be more humiliating for a man than seeing his woman with another and being powerless to speak out?

Or witnessing his child harmed, but unable to intervene?

Yet Ian could only smile and did not dare to feel the slightest resentment.

Just because his power is inferior to Kevin.

He forced a smile, saying, "Let's forget this misunderstanding. She's just a maid, Your Majesty needn't fret over it."

Hearing this, Jessica's face grew even paler.

She looked at Ian with humiliation and deep hatred.

She despised these men who treated her as an object.

She resented her own lack of resistance.

But her greatest resentment was reserved for Ian.

She had concealed the child's true parentage, allowing him to believe it was his.

Yet in this moment, he chose to protect himself at her and the child's expense.

These men were all ruthless.

Freya noted the hatred in Jessica's eyes.

Shaking her head sympathetically, she said, "Women are always sacrifices in the face of power. Let's leave, there's nothing more to see here."

This incident irreparably damaged the Logan brothers' relationship.

Though the outcome was grim, Freya's objective was achieved.

Silently, they left the courtyard.

On the way back, Freya asked Bradley, "How did you end up here?"

"My spies cover the whole Solterra. I'm aware of your every move."

"You had someone follow me?"

She narrowed her eyes, halting abruptly.

"I simply ensured your safety."

"I've told you there's no need. You don't have to waste resources on me."

As they conversed, Freya glanced up at the nearby figure, noticing Shadow One standing by the car.

It dawned on her that Bradley hadn't withdrawn Shadow One yet, and she had been keeping tabs on Freya the whole time.

For some reason, Freya felt a strong dislike towards Shadow One.

The way she looked at Bradley made Freya unhappy.

And her cold and aloof demeanor towards Freya made her vaguely perceive a hint of hostility.

"Shadow One was specifically assigned by me to assist you. You can direct her as needed, and she won't be an obstruction when unnecessary."

"But…"

"Freya, I understand your capabilities, but in Solterra, I feel more secure knowing you have someone to rely on."

Bradley cut her off before she could finish.

Shadow One's skills were not on par with Xia Freya's.

However, she could still provide assistance to Freya when necessary.

Freya understood Bradley's concern, which was why he had made this decision.

After pondering for a moment, she chose to remain silent.

While Shadow One was loyal to Bradley, she also had a hidden master guiding her.

Freya needed to swiftly discern Shadow One's true intentions. If she was an ally, she would treat her kindly.

But if she was an enemy, then... Freya wouldn't hesitate to act accordingly!

"Leonard, let's take a walk home."

Freya smiled playfully as she took Bradley 's arm.

The street was bustling with people.

Going out on the streets some time ago, Freya discovered that there is also a custom of going to the market in Solterra.

Now, the streets were teeming with activity and lively chatter.

"Of course."

Bradley agreed, and led her towards the busiest part of the crowd.

Meanwhile, Shadow One stood motionless, watching the two figures walk away with her cold, glamorous eyes.

Observing Freya's departure, she discreetly followed behind.

If Bradley were to pursue Freya, it would be her duty to inform.

Her actions were simply a ploy to capture the man's attention.

However, from beginning to end, he didn't spare her a second glance.

Gazing at his tall figure, Shadow One's eyes filled with admiration.

She had never encountered such a handsome man before.

The innate aura of dominance exuding from him was incomparable to ordinary men.

That aura belongs to a superior person, who is naturally domineering and powerful.

Driven by fierce determination, once Shadow One set her sights on someone, she would protect them for life.

Even though she knew he could never be hers in this lifetime, she stubbornly refused to give up.

She even entertained the thought that perhaps she would only achieve her desires after Freya's demise?

With this realization, the adoration in Shadow One's eyes quickly turned into intense determination.

In the busy market.

Freya and Bradley walked hand in hand through the bustling crowd.

She looked at the stalls on either side, filled with all sorts of peculiar items, and her eyes lit up.

Approaching a mask stall, she picked up a fox mask and put it on her face. "Does it look good?"

"It looks great."

Next to it was a handicraft stall, displaying exquisite woven baskets and many small trinkets.

As Freya bent down to admire the items, she suddenly felt a cool sensation in her ear.

When she looked up, she found a sunflower pinned to her ear.

"Yeah, it's beautiful!"

Bradley brushed aside her drooping bangs, a charming curve hanging from the corner of his mouth.

Although his shirt had been tidied up and didn't look like a rag anymore, a button was undone, revealing a large patch of wheat-colored skin on his chest.

Bathed in the sunlight, with slightly tousled hair, he looked both devilish and enchanting.

He was so stunning that it was suffocating!

This man is truly a demon!

Women passing by on the street all cast their gazes on him.

Freya felt a pang of sourness in her heart.

Her eyes swept around, and suddenly, she had an idea.
