Wolf Mountain.
Bradley stood on a giant rock with his black coat fluttering in the wind.
He exuded a cold aura throughout his body as he stared down at the photo.
There was a fatigue that was hard to conceal on his handsome face.
He had not slept for many days, so he had dark circles under his eyes and stubble on his chin.
Behind him stood Gabriel. When Gabriel saw that he had finally finished his call, Gabriel could not resist speaking up.
"You really took a long time on that phone call." More importantly, Gabriel was standing right behind Bradley and had to suffer through the nauseating displays of affection.
"Go get your own wife, if you can."
Bradley's tone was cold, but his thin lips were curved slightly upward.
"No, I'm not interested in women," Gabriel gloomily said. "Back to business. Why did you suddenly tell Shadow to go back?"
"He made a mistake and should be punished."
"Just what did he do to make you so angry?"
Gabriel had been out recently and only just found out about Shadow's punishment. Thus, he rushed to ask Bradley about it.
Shadow was Bradley's personal bodyguard who handled everything for him. Now that he was gone, many things would be inconvenient in the future.
Bradley remained silent.
He glanced at the dark screen on his phone and calmly said, "It's a sign of disloyalty to pry into your lord's affairs."
"When Shadow isn't here, you can ask Patrick to handle all Shadow's workload. Nothing important has been happening lately, so don't look for me."
With that said, he turned and left.
"Wait, Bradley, Patrick has returned to the capital. How do I find him?"
Bradley's footsteps stopped, and he turned around with icy eyes that were narrowed at Gabriel. "Talk to Xavier then."
"Forget about Xavier. He's too preoccupied with Ms. Fisher all day long. When will you all be able to bring down the Logan family?"
After being reminded by Gabriel, Bradley recalled that Patrick had mentioned returning to the capital a few days ago.
The reason being, long-distance relationships were too painful, and Madeline wanted a breakup.
He was in a bad mood due to the cold war with Freya, so he had forgotten about this matter.
"Talk to Shadow One then. With her abilities, she could be your capable assistant."
He was worried about how to handle Shadow One. Sending her back to Sigelac was not an option, but keeping her by his side would only make Freya angry.
Having her work with Gabriel would be a good option.
"Shadow One? No way. That woman has a strange temper. We don't get along."
"Spending more time together will help you get along."
Bradley did not waste any time and left the mountaintop with a flicker.
...
Inside the small bamboo house.
Shadow Specter had woken up. After the acupuncture treatment, he felt much more relaxed and refreshed.
For years, he had been tormented by his aching leg and never had a good night's sleep.
Strangely enough, today he slept soundly without any discomfort.
Getting up from the bed, he glanced around and saw that Freya was nowhere to be found.
"Dr. Lexi?"
He called out.
Freya, who was outside working on a bomb, heard him and walked in.
"You're up. How do you feel?"
"Very good."
After taking a deep breath, he said, "I have never felt so relaxed before."
"It is the accumulation of many years of stubborn ailments combined with blocked meridians that led to the frequent recurrence of leg pain. I have prescribed you several doses of medicine on the table. Take them three times a day before meals. Your condition will improve after a week."
"It's no wonder you're a famous doctor, Lexi. Just one treatment from you and the illness is gone. I'm fortunate to have met you. Otherwise, I wouldn't want to live anymore," said Shadow Specter.
His brows were furrowed in distress and despair.
Every time his illness flared up, he would be in excruciating pain.
He would roll on the ground, hitting walls and even burying himself in a hole so that he could blow himself up.
He had tried all sorts of ways to torture himself, but the leg pain just would not stop.
"I have kept my promise to treat you. Shouldn't you teach me how to make bombs now?"
She was tinkering in the laboratory just now. Even after dismantling a bomb, she still could not figure out the principles behind it.
These were all high-tech bomb devices, and if not carefully handled, they could explode.
She was extremely careful during the dismantling process, taking more than an hour to dismantle a bomb.
"Don't worry. Although I am a bad judge of people and have done many immoral things, I will definitely keep my word."
After saying that, he strode toward the laboratory.
Freya followed behind and asked, "When you were asleep just now, I came in to take a look and dismantled a few bombs. The manufacturing method of these bombs is different from ordinary bombs. How did you manage to do it?"
Shadow Specter proudly smirked. "It is the bomb-making technique handed down by our master. Although it is complex, its power is more formidable than ordinary bombs.
"The ones you are holding are the liquid explosive bombs I recently developed, with their power upgraded several times. It's a good thing that you know how to dismantle them. If you disassemble a component incorrectly, it would have definitely blow you to pieces."
Shadow Specter was still quite amazed by Freya's bomb dismantling skills.
He had many apprentices over the years, and Brian and Brody were considered to be relatively great at learning new skills.
However, when compared to Freya, there was a big difference.
He did not teach the two brothers the secret technique and only taught them explosive techniques along with some conventional bomb production methods.
On the one hand, it was because the two children were still too you. On the other hand, he had no energy.
Looking at Freya, reminded him of his former self. He could not wait to teach her all he had learned in his life.
"In fact, bomb disposal techniques are like human anatomy. Once you grasp the rules, you naturally understand how it's fun."
She has learned knew how to disarm bombs, and had nearly lost her life while disarming a bomb incorrectly before.
Not long later, she could instantly see the key to disarming the bomb.
However, Shadow Scepter's bombs were too complicate. She still could not master the skill of making bombs.
"The first thing you need to do is learn how to dismantle the bomb."
"You could dismantle even my latest bomb. It looks like I don't have to waste too much time teaching you."
"Tell me the principles," Freya said.
Shadow Specter nodded and neatly arranged the remnants of the dismantled bomb on the workbench, carefully explaining each principle to her.
Freya listened very attentively.
As time passed bit by bit, it was soon the afternoon.
Shadow Specter marveled at Freya's learning ability, which was even stronger than he had imagined.
"You are simply a legend in explosive techniques!"
Freya shrugged. "I had some basic knowledge before. After your explanation, the logic was clear to me."
"Use the raw materials I mentioned to create a liquid bomb."
"Okay."
Freya quickly busied herself.
She devoted herself wholeheartedly to making bombs, forgetting about sleep, food, and time.
By the time she finished the liquid bomb, it was already evening.
"One last step. Go and test its power,"
Shadow Specter then disappeared from the yard.
