Chapter 437 Never Disappoint You

"Even if I did that on purpose, but my love for you was not fake. Frey, I love you more than I love myself."

Bradley leaned close to her ear and affectionately whispered those words into Freya's ear.

Freya felt a throb in her heart as her eyes prickled with tears.

She suddenly turned around and threw herself into his arms.

"Bradley, don't scare me like that in the future. If something happens to you, I don't want to live either." She nestled in his arms, greedily absorbing the warmth from him.

"Okay, I won't scare you."

He rubbed her neck.

"Let's swim a few laps, and you should sleep early as well. Tomorrow, I have to take you to meet Shadow Scepter."

Upon hearing that, Bradley frowned and looked at her incredulously. "How do you know Shadow Scepter?"

He was a genius at explosives, but also an extremely dangerous person.

Many years ago, Bradley heard that Ian had invited an expert explosives manufacturer to develop special explosives.

He had Shadow investigate this person, who turned out to be a disguised Shadow Scepter.

The person's whereabouts were a mystery, and his temper was strange.

Not only had he taken Ian's two sons as disciples, but he also remained loyal to Ian. However, later for some reason, he disappeared, and no one could find him again.

Unexpectedly, Freya also knew about him and knew his whereabouts very well.

"I caught Ian's sons and got the location out of their mouths. However, I unexpectedly discovered that he was suffering from a serious leg injury. Today, I helped him with an acupuncture treatment. He also taught me the art of blasting and bomb making, and agreed to follow you in the future and serve you."

Freya told him the ins and outs of this matter. After listening to the story, Bradley hugged her tightly and kissed her several times.

"Frey, you're so capable. You actually the skill in just one day."

"I had previously dabbled in bomb disposal, so it was easier for me to learn."

"Besides this, what else can you do, hmm?"

The man played with her damp hair which stuck to her face. His innocent and pure look was too alluring, causing her blood to boil.

"I can also... love you."

She raised her head and looked deep into his eyes as she shyly spoke these words.

Bradley was full of excitement, and he pushed her to the shore before holding her chin and kissing her.

The next morning.

Freya took Bradley to the residence of the Shadow Scepter.

She remembered the location of the bamboo house after being shown the way once, so she did not need Shadow Scepter to lead the way.

When they arrived, Shadow Scepter was waiting at the door.

After Freya's treatment yesterday, he slept peacefully last night without any pain.

He greeted Freya as if she was a lifesaver, and hurried over to meet her.

"Dr. Lexi, you have finally arrived."

"Don't call me that from now on. Just call me Freya." Freya smiled and then pointed to the man behind her. "This is my husband, Leonard."

Shadow Scepter only realized there was someone next to her when he heard that.

When he looked up and met Bradley's eyes, he was overwhelmed by Bradley's imposing aura.

It was rumored that Leonard Newman was a handsome man. Upon seeing him, it was indeed true.

He exuded a natural aura of dominance with a blank look on his face, yet the intimidating aura in his black eyes made people hesitate to approach him.

Shadow Scepter nodded. "Leonard, I have heard of your name for a long time."

Bradley just nodded back as a greeting.

Shadow Scepter led the two of them into the house.

Freya looked at the clean room and asked, "Did you sleep well last night?"

"I have never had a peaceful sleep in the past decade. After you left last night, I lay down and slept until daybreak. I feel much better now," he replied.

"Well, after a few more acupuncture treatments, your symptoms should improve," Freya said.

After examining him, she noted that his pulse was better than yesterday, but the evil energy was still rampant.

"Although we have temporarily controlled the leg pain, it will take some time to rid your body of the toxins."

The situation with Shadow Scepter was different from that of Bradley.

The venom had been in his body for years and was deeply rooted in his organs, making it impossible to instantly remove it.

It could only be slowly expelled through medication.

"I trust your medical skills. I am sure you will cure me," Shadow Scepter said, full of trust in Freya.

He believed she was an angel sent by the heavens to save him from his suffering.

"I will heal you."

Freya was confident in herself and began to prick him with her needles.

After the acupuncture session was over, she left the space to Bradley and went to the lab to work on the bomb.

Even though she had mastered the principles of the bomb yesterday, she still could not figure out the structure of some of the more unique bombs at a glance.

She was prepared to continue disassembling some bombs for research.

Once again, she got lost in her work and lost track of time. If it was not for Shadow Scepter leading Bradley over, Freya would probably have stayed there for the whole day.

"Freya, we should go back."

"Huh? We just got here, and we're already going back?"

Freya did not look back, focused on dismantling the bomb in her hands.

It's getting late. It's nearing noon.

"That was quick!"

Freya finally looked up at the time and realized it was already noon.

She turned back and looked at the person behind her, asking, "Have you finished your talk?"

"Yeah."

Bradley walked in and glanced around, amazed by the structure of this laboratory.

As the saying went, it was small but it had everything needed.

There were all kinds of bomb-making tools here, as well as many bombs he had never seen before.

"I have talked to Shadow Scepter. In a while, when his leg is almost healed, he will come back with us. I plan to have him join Sigelac, where there is a specialized bomb research room for him to research ammunition diligently."

"Sounds good. With Shadow Scepter's addition, we have a slightly better chance of reclaiming Solterra."

"Frey, thank you."

Bradley's deep and profound eyes gazed at her with gratitude.

"What are you thanking me for?"

"Thank you for silently doing so much for me. Thank you for... For being in my life, becoming irreplaceable."

He gently wrapped his arms around her waist as he continued to speak.

"Silly, you are my husband, I should do all of this for you. As long as you don't let me down in this lifetime, that is the greatest reward for me."

"I will never disappoint you unless I die."

His tone was firm.

From the day he met her, it was destined that she would be entangled with him for a lifetime.

He would do everything in his power to protect her, and would guard her for a lifetime, never giving others a chance to covet her.

The day they reclaimed Solterra would be their wedding day.

He would give her the grandest wedding in the world, making her the most beautiful and happiest bride.
