Freya —
Shadow One gritted her teeth, venomously spitting out the name, her eyes ablaze with furious intent!
Freya heard the gunshot and briefly halted her steps.
Yet, without pausing further, she merely scoffed disdainfully and pressed on.
She believed Shadow One was astute enough to grasp the implicit meaning behind her words.
Initially, she had contemplated confronting her today. But upon reflection during her journey, she concluded that a direct confrontation would be unsightly.
If Shadow One could recognize her errors, Freya would consider her words. However, if she remained unrepentant, Freya wouldn't bother with her warnings.
However, the gunshot indicated that her words had failed to sway Shadow One in the slightest.
Freya casually ran her fingers through her hair. She had offered Shadow One an opportunity, but if it wasn't valued, Freya saw no reason to show mercy.
She continued her stroll and stumbled upon a boxing ring.
As Freya prepared to ascend, Shadow One's voice echoed from behind, "Madame, do you have experience in boxing?"
Freya glanced over her shoulder, finding Shadow One standing there.
She nodded, replying, "A little."
"Would Madame be willing to spar with me?" Shadow One inquired.
"Certainly," Freya agreed.
With a nod, Freya leaped onto the boxing ring.
They both fetched boxing gear and geared up, facing each other in fighting stances.
"Let's begin!"
Freya's voice was icy and composed as she narrowed her eyes, fixing her gaze on her opponent.
Shadow One muttered, "Apologies," and swung her fist towards Freya.
Before becoming Mystica, Freya had dabbled in boxing for a while. However, she abandoned the hobby after injuring her hand bones.
It had been two or three years since she last donned boxing gloves.
Shadow One's speed was impressive, her punches swift and fierce.
Yet, Freya was even quicker. She countered with a punch aimed at Shadow One's face.
Caught off guard by the blow, Shadow One stumbled backward several steps.
Beneath the boxing glove, her hand clenched tightly.
She hadn't realized Freya's prowess in boxing.
Internationally, few could rival her in boxing, apart from Bradley and the unnamed boxer who retired three years ago.
But Freya managed to evade her strike and even retaliate, injuring her in the process.
It was simply unbelievable!
"Madame, have you studied boxing?"
Shadow One removed her mouthguard, looking at Freya in astonishment.
"I dabbled in it as a hobby for a while," Freya waved her hand dismissively. "Shall we continue?"
The previous blow had been delivered with her left hand, and she hadn't used full force. If she used her right hand, it would be much more potent.
"Let's,"
Shadow One refused to accept such a defeat. She believed her previous carelessness had cost her.
Freya had only briefly studied boxing, how could she possibly have won against her?
Putting her mouthguard back on, Shadow One took a deep breath and launched another series of punches.
However, before she could even touch Freya, Freya's fist struck her face again.
If she hadn't stabilized her legs, she might have been sent flying.
Shadow One's mind was reeling, her gaze unfocused, and there was a metallic tang in her mouth.
She lifted her head, staring at Freya in utter disbelief.
Who was she, and how could she be so skilled?
"Freya..."
At that moment, a deep, magnetic voice sounded from behind.
Shadow One turned to see the tall, graceful figure of the man approaching them with confident strides.
Bathed in sunlight, he radiated elegance and charisma, capturing everyone's attention.
Shadow One found herself unable to tear her gaze away after just one glance.
He was the man she had longed for, day and night, the one she dreamed of having.
Yet, all his attention was fixed on Freya, not sparing her even half a glance.
He brushed past her without a second thought, heading towards Freya.
"It's getting late, we should head back," he said.
"Are you done with your business?"
Freya asked, removing her gloves and flashing him a toothy grin.
"Yeah, just finished," Bradley replied, taking her hand and using his sleeve to wipe the sweat from her face. "Why suddenly take up boxing?"
"Just saw there was a boxing ring here and felt like practicing,"
Freya replied. Then, she winked at Shadow One. "Shadow One's boxing skills are quite impressive. Did you teach her?"
She had heard that Bradley personally taught Shadow One martial arts.
So she wondered if he had taught her boxing as well.
"Yeah, she learned from me for a while," Bradley admitted.
Shadow One was talented in martial arts and learned quickly, so he had invested a lot of effort in her training.
Apart from Shadow, she was one of the most outstanding members of the Sigelac.
Over the years, Bradley had regarded the siblings as his confidants.
Shadow assisted him directly, while Shadow One trained members within the organization.
Fortunately, neither of them had ever disappointed him.
Hearing this, a nameless sourness arose in Freya.
No wonder Shadow One was so devoted to him. For any woman, who wouldn't fall for him in such circumstances?
With a top-notch mentor like him, who also happened to be handsome and powerful, it was no surprise.
If she had such a mentor, she would also be captivated by him.
Freya suddenly realized that none of this was Shadow One's fault, it was all Bradley's doing.
If he hadn't provoked Shadow One, how could she have fallen for him?
For a moment, her perception of the man changed.
She put on her boxing gloves again and threw punch after punch at him.
"What are you doing, Freya?"
Caught off guard by her punches, Bradley quickly grabbed her wrist.
"Show me what you've got!"
She wrenched her hand free and threw another punch.
Seeing this, Shadow One immediately rushed forward and positioned herself in front of her. Freya was already consumed by rage, and Shadow One's interference only stoked her fury further.
With all her might, she aimed her fist straight at Shadow One's abdomen.
But Bradley intercepted it before it could connect.
"Freya, what's gotten into you?"
"Let's settle this in the ring. Win, then you can speak."
Freya's heart soured at seeing him defend Shadow One.
Shadow One interjected, "If Madam wishes to box, I'll be your opponent."
"When did it become your turn to butt in while I'm talking to my husband?"
Freya's temper flared the moment she spoke.
The thought of Bradley spending time with Shadow One, teaching her martial arts and boxing, made Freya feel like she was soaking in a barrel of lemons, her stomach churning with acidity.
Shadow One, scolded by her sharp words, clenched her fists tightly.
"You step aside,"
Bradley gestured towards her, then walked to the equipment area. He retrieved the largest boxing gloves, put them on, and stood face to face with Freya.
"If you're up for a bout, count me in," he replied.
"No holding back, and no taking it easy on me, or I won't speak to you for a month!" Freya declared angrily, taking on a boxing stance and launching the first punch.
Bradley appeared utterly helpless.
He couldn't fathom what he had done to provoke her.
Everything had been smooth sailing, so why was she suddenly so furious?
"Okay," he said softly.
Freya's expression turned icy. In a split second, she dashed forward and threw a punch at him.
