"Selena is Lucy's designer. I guess Selena will be acting recklessly recently, and it will probably be done with Lucy's help."
As she spoke, Ella's phone rang.
She gave Freya a meaningful look and said, "I'll take this call and talk to you later."
As she answered the call, a sly voice rang out.
"Ella, things have escalated."
Ella narrowed her eyes and asked, "What happened? Is Selena causing trouble again?"
"If she's causing trouble, let her. No need to make a fuss. First, check social media. There are some explosive news."
Upon hearing this, Ella gestured for Freya to lend her the computer, which she then used to check social media.
"Wow, Freya. This time, there's really a good show to watch."
Freya quickly glanced at the computer, and her mouth twitched.
All the clothing and jewelry from the Julia brand were made of low-quality materials with picture evidence.
Under the bold headline, there were dozens of photos of shady dyeing workshops.
The place where they process jewelry was almost comparable to a garbage dump.
Ella smiled mischievously. "Freya, the post was made ten minutes ago and already has over a billion clicks. It seems like someone bought their way to the top of the trending topics. Just take a look at the comments below. Not a single good word. I think they hired internet trolls to create a false impression."
"I think the Department of Commerce will soon come to force our store to close. The police will invite us for a chat at the station."
Freya coldly glanced at the comments, then picked up her phone and held it up to her ear. "Can you find out who leaked this information?"
She did not expect someone to resort to such underhanded tactics behind her back.
This was an attempt to tarnish the reputation of the Julia brand and drive Julia out of the design industry.
It seemed she had been too kind before.
"Boss, even though the other party reported anonymously, I still found out who it was. It was Selena," White Fox said.
"Still, Boss, is your clothing really produced in such a terrible production environment?"
"Aren't you wearing it? How does it feel?"
"It's okay. It's too light and thin. Makes me feel like I'm not wearing anything."
Freya's cold laughter came through the phone. "Let's not talk about that for now. You were going to sue me in court, right? I want you to withdraw the lawsuit now."
"Why? The court hasn't even accepted the case yet. The real show hasn't even started!"
"After you withdraw the lawsuit, there will be something even more fun waiting for you."
Freya narrowed her eyes. She had not planned on being this vicious.
Since Selena wanted to ruin her, she would give Selena a taste of how it would feel to fall from grace.
"Tell me first. What's this fun thing?"
Freya spoke softly into the microphone.
White Fox burst into laughter. "Oh, you can provoke anyone, but never provoke the boss. Not even death can save you."
Just as Freya was about to say something, someone knocked on the door.
"Someone's here. I can't talk anymore. I have to hang up," she said.
She signaled for Ella to open the door.
Ava rushed in anxiously and said, "Freya, something bad happened. There are some people claiming to be from the Department of Commerce at the door, saying they want to inspect our store."
"I know. Don't panic for now."
She had not expected the devil to come as soon as they were mentioned.
Freya got up and walked outside, where she indeed saw a few men in suits and leather shoes.
"Are you the person in charge of this store?"
"Yes."
The other party immediately took out their work badge to show her, "We are from the Department of Commerce. We received a report stating that the materials of the clothes in your store are of poor quality. Customers who wear them have experienced itching and skin irritation, causing significant harm. We need to suspend your store. Please cooperate with us."
Freya shrugged and said, "Alright. We will close the store for a few days, but please investigate thoroughly and give us a fair judgment."
"Don't worry. We will handle this matter fairly."
After negotiating with the Department of Commerce officials, Freya let everyone go home and treat it as a holiday.
They would be notified separately when they were able to return to work.
Ava's eyes filled with tears as she said, reluctant to part, "Freya, we don't want to take a holiday. We want to fight alongside the store and overcome this difficult situation together."
"Yes, this is another home for us. We want to stay."
A group of employees echoed her sentiment.
Freya stepped forward, patted a few people on the shoulder, and said, "Don't worry. I will handle this matter and reopen the store soon. In the meantime, take care of yourselves, eat well, and rest. When the store reopens, we will work hard together."
Ava reached out and embraced Freya, her voice was hoarse, saying, "Freya, you are truly a very good person. We are fortunate to have such a good boss like you."
Boss?
Something shifted in everyone's gazes.
Ava realized she had misspoken and quickly corrected herself, saying, "I mean the boss's secretary. Please don't misunderstand."
The crowd collectively let out a sigh of relief.
"Alright. Everyone, go home."
The group reluctantly left.
Freya went back to the office to pack up, and Ella approached her, asking, "The situation has escalated so much, are you sure you won't inform Mr. Bradley?"
"Is it serious? I am afraid they are not making a big enough deal out of it. Hence, I will add fuel to the fire and make it burn even brighter. Since they want to play, I will play with them all the way to the end and see who will cry the most in the end."
With that remark, Freya grabbed her bag and left.
Ella followed behind.
As the two left, the people from the Department of Commerce ran around. At this point, Julia's store had announced a temporary closure.
Many people rushed to see the commotion.
Some people even held eggs and vegetable leaves in their hands, viciously throwing them at the store's front door, cursing angrily.
"It's really immoral to use tainted fabrics to harm customers. They should be arrested and put in jail."
"Yes, tell Julia's store to get out of Solterra."
Echoing voices overlapped.
These people were all the haters bought by Selena. All of them seemed afraid that no one would take them on their offer to start trouble. Everyone started cursing at Julia instead.
Freya watched from afar, frowning hard. "Ella, grab a few people and take them to play at the Raven Pavilion, I'm really annoyed watching this."
"I was just thinking the same thing."
Ella rubbed her nose, then walked toward the crowd.
...
The Dark Master's Office, Dark Web.
On the black couch sat a man in a black trench coat.
A half mask covered the man's handsome face, but it could not hide those cold, narrow eyes which were sharp and intimidating, high and mighty like a god.
At that moment, there was a gentle knock on the door.
"Come in."
The man said with a deep voice.
A woman walked in, bowing respectfully. "Dark Master."
"Have you received any news about the task I assigned you?"
The man did not look up as he looked at the phone in the palm of his hand. The screen was glowing brightly, frozen on the news of the Julia store.
His brows were tightly furrowed, his cold black eyes devoid of any warmth, like they had come from hell.
