Upon hearing this, the man's lips curled slightly.
"Who is the other party?"
"They said it's Master's old friend. Someone named Sally."
Sally, Freya's master.
Fast. She was already contacting him.
Do they want to arrange a meeting between me and Master?
If Master found out that Felix was the person she hated the most, she might die from anger.
Bradley touched his lips and said in a deep voice, "Tell her I'm busy."
"This Sally seems to be Master's old lover. She can be considered as our kind-of stepmother. If she comes to Leiton Island, Master might wake up when he sees her."
That posed a challenge.
Bradley squinted and gently said, "Then, just agree to her request. Still, I don't have time to go back anytime soon. You'll have to handle her on your own."
"Felix, you haven't come back for several years. Everyone misses you. Why not take this opportunity to come back and meet up with us?"
"Let's talk about it later."
Bradley saw Freya approaching and soon wrapped up the call.
"Who called? Why so mysterious?"
Freya hugged him from behind, greedily inhaling his scent.
His scent was very pleasant. It could calm her restless heart.
It seemed that with him by her side, all the pressure would dissipate.
"An old friend!"
"I didn’t know you have any friends outside of Gabriel and the others." Freya nuzzled into his chest, pressing the whole of her face against him.
"Yes. I do have a few friends I seldom contact outside of those around us. I'll introduce you when we have the time."
"Okay."
Freya nodded, feeling a bit of anticipation in her heart.
He held her hand and sat down on the wicker chair before raising his hand to playfully tap her forehead.
"Regarding the Julia Black incident, how do you plan to clean up the mess?"
Even though he had been handling this matter in secret, he still wanted to hear what this woman had in mind.
Freya blinked and softly said, "The Industrial and Commercial Bureau has intervened, so we can only resort to litigation."
She could not understand before how Mr. Clark would have evidence to present to the court, but upon careful consideration, she realized that he had to have been bribed.
For an official responsible for consumer rights, this much was not needed in order to reach an agreement with the involved party to compensate customers or stopping the store's operation.
Besides closing down her store, he was suing her without ever meeting her.
It was understood by all that this person had received benefits.
As for who the mastermind was, apart from Selena and Julia, there could be no one else.
After all, those two were both eager for her to die.
"Now that Julia has issued a statement, she will deal with this matter herself, so you don't need to intervene anymore. I will start wrapping up the affairs in Solterra. When everything settles down, you can focus on preparing for the wedding at home. I want to marry you and give you a grand wedding."
That was what he wanted to do most.
Especially when Queen Sally wanted to break them up. The yearning to get the wedding done grew stronger.
"Are you planning to start a war?"
Freya looked up at him.
As she had been busy with Julia's store, she did not pay much attention to the Logan family. Thus, she did not know the current situation.
"No, there's always someone stronger. We just need to sit back and reap the benefits." Bradley toyed with her soft hair while his eyes were sharp and cold. "Still, all of this is thanks to you. If you hadn't instigated the conflict between Ian and Kevin, they wouldn't have reached such a stalemate."
"What do you mean?"
Freya shifted position, resting her head on his thigh and lazily narrowing her eyes.
The man's lips curled up. "Remember the incident we overhear last time?"
"Yeah."
Thinking about it made Freya blush.
Eavesdropping with her husband and then playing a prank on their victim. The excitement of it all was thrilling.
"After that incident, the relationship between Ian and Kevin completely deteriorated. Both of them were suspicious of each other, wondering if Jessica had a connection with the other. On top of that, Kevin was too ruthless and subjected Jessica to harsh interrogation. Unable to bear the humiliation, Jessica finally admitted that the child was Ian's."
"As a result, Kevin was furious and became more determined to eliminate Ian. At that time, news of Ian's secret laboratory came to light, and Kevin seized the opportunity to arrest Ian on charges of conspiring for power. A conflict broke out at the Duke's palace with Ian sustaining serious injuries and being thrown into the dungeon."
Bradley recounted the recent events to her in detail.
While Freya had heard about it briefly from Ella, she never expected the biggest contributor of this matter to be her.
"Do you think the child in Jessica's belly is really Ian's?"
"Regardless of whose child it is, Ian has already been tainted. He can forget about making a comeback."
Freya nodded. "You're right, as long as Ian falls, our goal will be accomplished. The next target is only Kevin. War is too cruel, so we should think of a way for Kevin to self-destruct."
Bradley squinted. "Do you have a good idea?"
He knew that she had a lot of strategies in her head.
In this confrontation with the Logan family, he did not need to use any soldiers to easily defeat Ian.
Bradley felt like he had found a treasure, one that kept on giving.
"Jessica is only useful until she's worthless. Kevin is a king. It will be difficult to use these methods against him." Freya shook her head and continued, "Unless we catch the thief first, we'll have to directly assassinate him."
At her words, the man's eyes narrowed coldly.
He said in a deep voice, "No, the security in the palace is very tight. Assassination is too risky."
"No matter how well-built a wall, there will always a crack where a fly can sneak in. Last time we broke in using the same logic," Freya casually said.
"When was the last time?"
In the man's dark and deep eyes, there was a moment of deep loneliness.
"That time we broke into the palace to steal the king's ring, do you remember?"
Upon hearing that, Bradley remembered the incident.
He held her chin, his tone deep, "Last time, we were lucky. We can't be careless! Kevin is suspicious and cunning. After that incident, the palace strengthened its defense. Sneaking in to assassinate him will not be easy. Besides, the palace is full of traps. It's too dangerous to directly break in and assassinate him."
"In that case, to bring down Kevin, we can only seek help from Shadow Scepter."
"Rather than a direct assault, it's better to demolish the place. If we blow up the entire palace, where can Kevin escape to?"
"You naughty, little troublemaker. Always thinking about blowing people up." He pinched her cheek as he spoke in a tone filled with indulgence.
Freya smiled cunningly, "I am doing this for you, yet you don't appreciate it and still grumble about me."
"I pamper you so much. How can I bear to grumble about you?"
After saying that, he dipped his head down to kiss her.
