Chapter 481 Torment Those Scumbags Brutally!

Queen Sally's brow furrowed even deeper as she listened. "My dear Freya wouldn't even dare to kill a chicken or duck, let alone a person. Are you sure you have the right person?"

"The murder investigation will be thorough by our team. We won't make an innocent arrest," the officer replied before abruptly hanging up the phone.

Queen Sally rushed for her guards after hearing the beeping sound.

"Go to the Derry Police Station and check if Freya has been arrested for real."

Half an hour later.

Queen Sally got a call from her bodyguard.

"What did you say? She committed murder?"

"Yes. Mrs. Lawson got arrested last night. She is being questioned and put in detention right now. She could be sentenced to life for murder."

Queen Sally's hand trembled as she heard the news, nearly dropping her phone.

"Hurry up and send someone to investigate this matter. Freya could never commit murder. This is a set-up!" she exclaimed.

Queen Sally wasted no time addressing the issue on Leiton Island, swiftly commanding her people to investigate.

Freya was her beloved apprentice and someone ignorant dared to go against her.

If she found out who did it, she would bring them back to the Stolan to face punishment.

Meanwhile, at the police station.

The auxiliary police officer returned the phone to Freya and said, "Mrs. Lawson, I did what you instructed. The other party should believe what I've said."

"Good job."

Freya touched her nose and smiled smugly.

She gave the auxiliary police officer her phone as her master called, letting him trick her.

Due to her master's character, she would likely make a big fuss to investigate. There would be no time to match her with Felix.

Freya cracked up laughing as she thought about it.

A new idea suddenly struck her and she turned to the auxiliary police officer. "I need one more favour from you."

"At your service, Mrs. Lawson."

The chief had stated that Freya's requests would be honoured without inquiry.

He dared not refuse her now.

"Please post a statement online on behalf of your bureau declaring that my murder conviction is unproven. As the main suspect, I will be imprisoned after the trial. Then, visitors are banned from court."

The auxiliary police officer was hesitant. "I need to discuss this with Mr. Chambers and hear his thoughts."

"Who has more authority, Mr. Chambers or the Chief?" She crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow at him.

"Of course, the chief."

"The chief has already ordered you to follow my lead, yet you still want to ask for Mr. Chambers's opinion? That's blatantly disrespecting the chief's authority."

"Mrs. Lawson, I-I didn't mean that!"

The auxiliary police officer became anxious. After joining the department, he was an intern police officer serving under Beau. He often sought Beau's counsel because he was supposed to report everything to him.

Who knew that a careless remark had landed him in hot water?

"That's not what I meant." "Do it her way!"

A deep, authoritative voice boomed from outside as Bradley appeared at the doorway.

His piercing gaze fell upon Freya, lingering for a long moment.

He just got a call from his colleague telling him that Queen Sally couldn't make it to Leiton Island today and that their meeting would be rescheduled.

He finally understood why Freya insisted on staying at the bureau. She didn't want to see Felix on Leiton Island.

Bradley both loved and hated her.

He loved her for refusing to see Felix, eventually because she didn't want to upset him.

He hated her for not letting him reveal his identity when he was ready.

He finally stood beside her after marching with menacing steps.

"Do you need me to call your chief now?"

The man's chilling words escaped his thin lips, sending shivers down the auxiliary police officer's spine.

"No, no need. I'll go handle it right away," he stammered before quickly disappearing with a few brisk steps.

Only two remained in the detention room. Bradley lightly flicked Freya's forehead. "My dear wife, you've discovered the truth and spent a night in detention. Shouldn't we go home?" she spoke affectionately.

"Thanks for staying with me through the night, Honey. Let's go home."

After reaching her goal, she didn't need to stay.

She had gotten some sleep last night, but it was uncomfortable not being in her bed.

All she wanted now was to return to her own bed, sink into a deep slumber, and wait for the trial to torment those scumbags brutally!

The auxiliary police officer quickly handled the matter.

Freya smiled smugly while scrolling through the news. Then, she linked arms with Bradley and left the police station.

...

Since Luke's transfer, Selena had no chance to strike. Thus, things have been quite peaceful lately.

Time passed quickly and it was the night before the trial.

Freya stood before White Fox flat, knocking on the door.

The door swung open, revealing the freshly showered White Fox in the entryway, wrapped in a towel.

"What are you trying to seduce with that outfit in the middle of the night?"

White Fox grinned and tossed her shoulder-length hair, leaning against the wall seductively. "Boss, how do I look like this?"

"Saucy." Freya rolled her eyes at her without hesitation and sank onto the couch. "The trial is tomorrow and I just had an even better idea for torturing the scumbag."

White Fox immediately perked up, leaning closer to her. "What is it?"

Her towel-wrapped busty pressed against Freya's arm.

Freya pushed her away with disgust. "Don't get so close to me. I don't swing that way."

"Forget it. what's the point of being feminine if I never see Felix again?" White Fox muttered in frustration, then stomped off to her bedroom to change clothes.

She looked dashing in a leather jacket and pants with a high ponytail.

"I want you to go to the court tomorrow morning to retract the evidence. Claim that you were coerced into fabricating it. Once Selena confronts you, simply vanish and leave her hanging."

"Boss, why do you have to be so ruthless?"

"There's no need to show mercy to a ruthless woman like her." Freya clenched her fists, her eyes filled with hatred.

After learning the truth about Lily's death, all she wanted now was to destroy this woman.

Laying a finger on her friends was a death sentence.

"All right, I'll do whatever you say, Boss!" White Fox tossed her ponytail, her almond-shaped eyes narrowing slightly. "Anyone who dares go against you, I'll make their lives a living hell."

Freya glanced sharply at her and stood up to leave. "Maybe you should return to the Raven Pavilion once the trial's over."
