She had guessed countless women, but the one person she never imagined would be Lucy.
She could accept anyone, but not this woman!
Freya slowly withdrew her hand from Bradley's palm, a mist of emotion in her eyes. She wouldn't interrogate him here. Even if she was bursting with questions, she'd wait until they got home to discuss it.
"Let's drive!"
Her tone was cold, devoid of any emotion.
Bradley knew she was angry, especially since Lucy was involved in Lily's death. It would be strange if she could treat him pleasantly.
Starting the car to leave, Lucy spoke up, "Leo, my car is out of gas. Could you give me a ride?"
"Sorry, this is a private car, not a taxi. If Princess Lucy wants to go home, she can just wave down a passing car on the roadside."
Before Bradley could respond, Freya bluntly refused.
Hearing this, Lucy's mouth twitched harshly.
But she didn't dare to cause a scene here with Freya, after all, she had to maintain a virtuous and ladylike image in front of Bradley.
She looked at Bradley with a pitiful expression and said softly, "Taxis these days aren't very safe, and I ..."
"You're right, taxis do have risks, but aren't you a princess? Just make a phone call and have someone come pick you up, right? Besides, we're not going in the same direction. We're heading east while you need to go north. If we were to take you home, we'd have to go around the entire city."
Freya interrupted Lucy before she could finish speaking.
Lucy couldn't hide her displeasure. She clenched her fists tightly, a hint of coldness flashing in her eyes.
Damn Freya, her luck was too good. She had carefully planned everything, but in the end, Freya had let her off the hook.
If Selena won this trial, she wouldn't need to fight over a man with her!
"Let's go, I'm tired."
Freya lazily raised her gaze and closed the car window with a casual flick of her hand.
As Lucy leaned in, she almost got caught in the closing window. Startled, she quickly retreated, hitting her head on the door frame, causing her to slump to the ground in pain, muttering softly.
"You bitch, Freya, I won't let this go!"
A bodyguard approached to help her up, but Lucy angrily slapped him away. "Don't touch me with your dirty hands! What are you still standing here for? Go drive, I need to go to the prosecutor's office!"
"Yes, Princess!"
The bodyguard walked away, still hearing Lucy's curses from afar.
The car fell into a deathly silence.
Freya didn't speak the whole time, even ignoring the glances from the man.
Bradley sighed heavily and pulled over to the side of the road.
"Freya, let me explain!"
"Not now, I just want to be alone for a moment."
Her mind was in turmoil, and she didn't want to hear his explanation at all.
However, Bradley grabbed her arm and forced her to face him.
"It's not what you think, I have no relationship with Lucy." He pulled her into his embrace and spoke in a deep voice.
Freya looked up at him, angry, and punched him hard in the chest. "Then you better give me a reasonable explanation. Why were you with Lucy?"
No matter what the reason, cooperating with Lucy was his mistake!
Bradley didn't dodge, allowing her to hit him.
With her expertise in martial arts apparent, her anger lent her considerable strength. When she struck him, he couldn't help but grimace in pain.
Freya heard him grunt in pain and knew it must hurt badly.
However, she ignored him and attempted to open the car door, wanted to exit.
Bradley didn't give her a chance to leave. He pressed his body against the door to keep her in place, speaking in a low voice.
"Freya, I didn't mean to hide it from you, I just didn't want you to misunderstand."
"Then tell me, what important reason made you go see her in the middle of the night?"
Freya was tightly held in his arms, the familiar scent of mint from the man enveloping her, making her feel uncomfortable. "I waited for you to explain all night yesterday. You didn't call or text. Do you know how I struggled until dawn?"
"I kept reassuring myself that you wouldn't betray me, that you must be dealing with something important. But I never imagined you would actually be with Lucy."
"I was just trying to keep her in check, to prevent her from ruining your plans. Besides, after the phone call last night, I left her villa and was busy on Wolf Mountain until late into the night."
He didn't reply to her messages because he truly had important matters to attend to last night, and his phone was left in Gabriel's car, so he didn't have the chance to retrieve it.
Freya looked up at him. The seriousness in his eyes didn't seem like he was lying.
She knew he must have had a compelling reason to cooperate with Lucy.
However, she had never expected that most of his reasons for cooperating were to help her.
"Selena depends on Lucy's help. If Lucy steps in during the trial, the lawsuit's result could change a lot. Even though you've prepared for emergencies, if the royal family gets involved, Selena's situation won't be so tragic."
"Plus, Lucy intends to collaborate with us. If we can use her to deal with the Logan family, perhaps we can reclaim the Solterra without a single soldier."
Hearing this, Freya slowly loosened her clenched fists. "What is her purpose in cooperating with you?"
Bradley's deep eyes darkened, and he tightly clenched his fists, speaking in a heavy tone.
"Whatever her purpose is, my heart has always belonged to you."
"Huh, so her goal is you then?"
Freya gritted her teeth. "Let me guess how she plans to act. Could it be ... after helping you reclaim the Solterra, she's planning to push me out and take my place as the queen?"
Bradley rubbed his nose, hesitant to speak.
He was about to ask if this woman going to explode, jump up, and start a fight with him, then storm out of the house?
He stared at her, his fiery eyes filled with helplessness.
Freya knew she had guessed right, and another punch flew towards him. "Fine, Bradley, so you're scheming about this. Okay, I'm getting out of the car now. You can turn around and go pick up your Princess Lucy."
She was really about to explode.
Damn man, he's cooperating with Lucy and still playing these games.
Even if it was just a ploy, she was not happy about it!
Bradley embraced her from behind and coaxed her gently, "You're the only queen in my heart, don't be angry!"
When it came to being cute, this man was definitely superior to her.
Freya looked at his pitiful appearance, feeling both amused and exasperated.
She pushed his hands away and turned her head away stubbornly. "Whatever, I don't care. I just don't like Lucy. If you want to cooperate with her, fine, but don't stop me from dealing with her."
"Alright, do whatever makes you happy. I'll clean up the mess."
Freya gritted her teeth. "What if I make her angry and she refuses to cooperate with you?"
