Freya blinked and said, "What's so interesting about sleeping? Besides, my sleeping posture is really bad."
"No, I like it!"
As the man spoke, his slender fingers tapped on the keyboard. Freya could even hear the clicking sound through the screen.
With a contented smile on her face, she pulled the blanket over herself and settled down, setting her phone aside.
She didn't close her eyes; she was quietly watching the man work.
At that moment, he was intense and serious, his tousled hair partially covering one eye, his presence devilishly handsome to the point of being overwhelming.
The warm yellow light delicately accentuated his facial contours, especially highlighting his long, thick eyelashes that cast a shadow on his lower eyelids like a small fan.
Freya stared unwaveringly, until the sleepiness slowly crept in.
As time passed by, the man in the video was still busy working.
After he finished handling the documents, he finally looked up and noticed that the young woman had already fallen asleep.
Through the screen, he could even hear her gentle breathing.
Freya, peacefully embraced by sleep, was completely defenseless, her soft black hair spreading out on the pillow like seaweed, her long eyelashes fluttering gently like butterflies.
She was so beautiful, making his heart race.
He really wanted to hold her, to kiss her.
As he thought this, the longing surged over him like turbulent waves, making him incredibly uncomfortable.
He glanced at the time; it was only one in the morning.
He got up; grabbed his coat, and walked outside in big strides.
Half an hour later, Bradley returned to the villa, shivering with cold.
Without alarming anyone, he quietly returned to the room. He saw the woman on the bed at the first glance, and the weariness on his body disappeared at that moment.
Walking closer, he placed his hands on either side of her body, bending down over her face and gently planting a kiss.
The warm touch overwhelmed her, causing Freya's eyelashes to flutter. She slowly opened her eyes and met the familiar handsome face in front of her.
In a sleepy murmur, she said, "Honey, stop teasing. I'm so tired.
Bradley released her, removed his coat, and lay down beside her, his strong hands tightly embracing her slender waist.
Though they would meet on Leiton Island tomorrow, he couldn't wait to hold her and sleep together.
After all, it wouldn't be so easy to hug and kiss her tomorrow.
Perhaps sensing the warmth beside her, Freya instinctively snuggled closer to the man's embrace.
She was currently dreaming, but why did the dream feel so vivid?
His hand gently stroked her hair, and eventually, she opened her eyes, gazing at the handsome face so close to hers with a bewildered expression.
Honey, am I dreaming?
The man rubbed his nose against hers and said in a low voice, "Whether in reality or in dreams, I am always by your side."
Freya's mind was half asleep, half awake, but the familiar smell felt so real that she stared at him for a long time.
She held onto his neck and said playfully, "Aren't you too busy to come back?"
"I missed you."
Those words conveyed his immense longing for her. He held her tightly, as if wishing to meld her into his very essence.
Freya whispered softly, her eyelashes brushing against his face, "But work is important."
"Nothing is more important than you!" The man looked deeply into her eyes and said in a deep voice, "I have to go out early tomorrow morning, and I might not be back all day."
Freya asked sleepily, "Where are you going? Can I come with you?"
"No need to come. The person I have to meet tomorrow is you," Bradley said to her in his heart, his lips curved as he held her face and kissed her deeply. "No, we will meet soon."
Freya was stunned, not understanding the meaning.
She blinked her feather-like eyelashes, rolled over and lay on him, her eyes showing reluctance.
Recently, they had both been busy, with very little time to be together.
Sometimes Freya wondered if she should gradually return to her family and be a devoted wife to accompany him.
But the pressure on her was too much, always causing her to quickly dismiss such thoughts.
Bradley noticed her low mood, his lips curling as he lightly laughed, "I will come back to be with you as soon as I finish my work."
"When are you leaving?" Freya sighed lightly.
"I'll leave at dawn; we still have three or four hours of time together."
"I don't need it. Just go to sleep quickly. Staying up late for long periods isn't good for your health, and it might..." She couldn't continue her sentence because she noticed the change in the man's expression.
Bradley held her face and said, word by word, "Don't worry. Your husband is healthy and won't have kidney problems."
Freya blushed. That was exactly what she meant just now, but who knew the man could see through her at a glance.
Before she could say anything, the man's kiss came down like rain drops.
Seeing that things were about to get out of control, Freya quickly pushed him, "Stop fooling around. You haven't slept well for several days. Go to sleep quickly."
Bradley was indeed tired. Recently, he was busy with work, and for days, he hadn't had time to close his eyes. He was completely exhausted at the moment.
Furthermore, he had to compete with this girl in wits and courage tomorrow. He needed to conserve energy.
"Okay, let's sleep." His voice was deep, as he embraced her and closed his eyes.
Freya opened her mouth to say something, but she heard the sound of breathing above her head.
Did he fell asleep?
She reached out and brushed the man's handsome face. He, who was usually vigilant, made no movement; he was really asleep.
She gently planted a kiss on his forehead and whispered, "Good night, darling!"
Soon, the sky gradually brightened.
Bradley opened his eyes to see the sight of the little woman sleeping in his arms.
His heart softened, and he played with her hair with his large hand, leaning down to touch her eyebrows.
But as he was about to get up, a small hand held onto his arm, and the woman who was originally asleep opened her eyes.
She got up from the bed and directly hugged him from behind, resting her chin on his shoulder.
"Darling, I hope that when I open my eyes tomorrow night, you will still be the first person I see."
She had actually been awake for a while, but she had not woken him up as she saw Bradley sleeping soundly.
Even though they were only going to be apart for a day, she still wanted to look at him for some more time and send him off.
Upon hearing her words, Bradley's breath suddenly intensified, and his pupils gradually turned crimson.
He forcefully pulled her into his arms, uncontrollably kissing her rosy cherry lips.
This kiss was even more intense than last night's, leaving Freya breathless. Yet, he refused to release her, holding her tightly in his arms and kissing her passionately.
"Freya, I wish I could keep you in my pocket so I could see you anywhere, anytime." Bradley's eyes were intense, and he lightly nibbled on her, his voice low and husky, "When I return tonight, I want to thoroughly tease you."
After saying that, he released her, reluctant to part, and walked towards the door.
If this continued, he couldn't guarantee that he wouldn't lose control.
