Leah was still complaining to Lucy about the car accident when her eyes accidentally caught sight of Freya passing by.
"Stop the car!" She shouted urgently.
Confused, Lucy stopped the car and looked at Leah with annoyance. "What’s the matter? There’s a traffic light ahead."
"Sorry, Lucy. I just saw the person who caused me to crash into the railing and owes me five million."
Leah pointed ahead. Her memory of Freya’s face was vivid—after all, Freya looked so much like her stepsister that she couldn't forget her.
Lucy raised an eyebrow and chuckled. "What a coincidence."
"You can say that again! This is what you call a narrow road for enemies! She sent someone to confront me. If this isn't resolved, I won’t rest."
Two hours earlier, Ella had shown up, listing various forms of compensation and even threatening legal action. Leah, stunned by the threats, had agreed to compensate for all the losses in a moment of madness. After the other party left, Leah discovered that five million had been taken from her account. She was furious!
"Fine, let’s meet her. I want to see what kind of woman dares to play these games with you."
Lucy listened to Leah explain the entire story along the way, becoming intrigued by this woman. However, the man's back next to the woman seemed somewhat familiar!
They got out of the car, crossed the street, and called out to Freya before she got into her vehicle. Hearing the voice, Freya turned around and saw Leah and Lucy. She was slightly stunned but soon smiled knowingly. It made sense why Leah was so arrogant.
Ella had informed Freya that the issue was resolved, and she had transferred five million to her card. Ella had used hypnosis to make Leah admit her fault and compensate her and Matthew. To prevent future retaliation, Ella had also recorded a video of Leah’s sincere apology. It seemed trouble was brewing again with Leah and Lucy showing up.
Bradley, observing Lucy’s approach, frowned deeply and said coldly, "Freya, what’s wrong?"
"It’s okay. Stay in the car. If I don’t call you, don’t get out." Freya closed the car door, leaning casually against the car and raising an eyebrow at the two women.
"Oh, isn’t this Princess Lucy? And this familiar face… Oh, it’s the unfortunate person who crashed into the guardrail herself?" Freya said, putting her hand on her forehead and pretending to think seriously, then suddenly realizing.
Mentioning the accident made Lucy’s anger flare. She glared at Freya and demanded loudly, "Tell me, what did you ask your friend to do to me? Why did I end up giving her five million for no reason?"
Freya covered her mouth, chuckling lightly. "Miss, you voluntarily handed over the money. How would I know if you were out of your mind or just foolish?"
The sarcasm was clear, causing Leah’s face to alternately flush pale and red. Lucy was surprised to discover that Freya, involved in the dispute with Leah, was Leonard’s partner. No wonder the back of the man had seemed familiar. But who was the child with them?
Lucy’s displeasure grew. Could it be that these two had a child together? She glanced at the driver’s seat, but the tinted windows prevented her from seeing inside.
Leah, increasingly anxious, insisted, "No, it must be some kind of trick. Otherwise, I wouldn’t have given away the money."
"Miss, if you feel you’ve been extorted, you can go to the police. I need to get home. Goodbye!" Freya said dismissively, opening the car door.
At that moment, Leah ran over and grabbed Freya’s arm. "Don’t leave until this is explained!"
Seeing Leah’s reckless behavior, Lucy quickly intervened. "Jasmine, just forget it. This really is your fault. There was a child in the car who was frightened. It’s only right for you to compensate."
Lucy was not siding with Freya willingly. She was simply trying to maintain a dignified appearance in front of Leonard. As for Freya, there would be another opportunity to deal with her later.
“Lucy, there’s really something wrong with this matter. I…”
"Enough! There are many people watching. Don’t embarrass yourself!" Lucy cut Leah off before she could say more.
Freya, listening to their conversation, was shocked. Did Lucy just call this woman Jasmine? As she looked at Leah, the name Jasmine clicked. No wonder the face seemed familiar. Although altered, Leah’s demeanor was unmistakably the same.
Leah sarcastically said, "Forget it. Consider the five million as charity to a beggar."
Lucy had already spoken up, so she didn’t want to argue further. Besides, she had clearly noticed that Lucy's gaze kept drifting towards the driver's seat, obviously curious about the person inside.
A beggar?
Upon hearing this term, Freya sneered.
She wasn’t fixated on the issue, but since the other party was Jasmine and the person, she loathed the most, Lucy, the matter couldn’t be easily ignored. Freya, sensing the opportunity, flicked her hair and chuckled, "Have you ever seen a beggar driving a luxury car?"
Leah’s face twitched. She realized her words had backfired. Behind Freya was an international limited-edition Rolls-Royce, possibly worth billions. How could she have belittled such a person?
Lucy was infuriated by Leah's foolish words. Everyone around her seemed to be useless. Freya saw the other woman speechless and couldn’t help but smile coldly. This trash dared to challenge her?
