Chapter 529 Did She Even Know Who Freya's Man Was?

Bradley’s face remained impassive as he coldly raised an eyebrow. “My hand slipped. Is that my fault?”

The heartless nature of his words paired with an innocent expression made him look both infuriating and endearing. If it had not been for Matthew's presence, Freya would have really pounced on him and passionately kissed him.

She had not expected her husband to be so ruthlessly effective when dealing with people. His methods were often harsh, striking directly at their pride.

Lucy who tried hard to make a good impression on Bradley ended up with her image completely ruined after the fall.

“You’re working with Lucy. If you treated her this way, she might find a way to get back at you!” Freya said, wiping the tears from the corners of her eyes and forcing a smile. Her stomach still ached from the laugh.

“I’ve already canceled that. If you want to torment her, I’m here to support you anytime!” Bradley said, his tone leaving no room for misunderstanding.

It was clear he did it on purpose. What Lucy said disgusted him. She actually dared to bully Freya! Did she even know who Freya's man was?

“By the way, do you know who the woman next to Lucy is?” Freya’s face grew dark as she asked that.

It was Jasmine…

She had never expected to see Jasmine again in her lifetime, but fate had brought their paths together in Solterra. Despite the Lawson family paying for their past mistakes, Jasmine had remained elusive.

The matter was far from over. Freya could not forget how Jasmine had tormented her.

When Sophie brought Jasmine and three-year-old Lola into the Lawson family, they took everything from Freya and Charlotte. Sophie had seized the position of the lady of the house from Charlotte while Jasmine immediately set her sights on Freya's room, driving her out. All her beautiful clothes, shoes, accessories, and bags were snatched away. Just like Cinderella, she went from a princess to a servant overnight.

Moreover, Jasmine had acted with deceitful cruelty. She would be sweet and obedient in front of Bruce, but once he and Sophie went out, she bullied Freya in every way possible. She would pulling on Freya's hair, stomped on Freya's school bag, and tore Freya's books apart.

When Bruce returned, Jasmine would pretend to be wronged and accused Freya of bullying her instead. Bruce, who was deeply in love with Sophie, favored Jasmine and Lola over Freya. Thus, without question, he would slap Freya across the face.

Charlotte, distressed, would hold Freya in her arms as she confronted Bruce, who was already caught up in Sophie's lies. He not only hit Freya but also brutally beat up her mother. Charlotte was pregnant at the time, so the child died. The sight of her mother’s blood staining the white tiles was something Freya could never forget.

Later, Charlotte was framed for an affair with other men. Sophie took Bruce upstairs to confront her.

Freya knew Jasmine was involved in the matter somehow. Standing on the stairs with a smug look on her face, Jasmine had declared, “You and your mother should leave this house. This is my and my mother’s house. From now on, you are not allowed to set foot here without our permission.”

Soon after, her mother passed away and Freya was driven out.

Jasmine had their belongings thrown out. She stood there with her hands on her hips and a mocking expression on her face. Freya could never forget the malicious triumph on Jasmine’s face.

Freya clenched her hands so hard that she could almost hear her knuckles cracking. The grim expression on her face shone in the rearview mirror, and Bradley reached out to gently held her hand. His dark eyes were filled with a cold light.

“Jasmine, the stepdaughter of the Lawson family,” he said. He recalled Lucy mentioning the name and remembered that the Lawson family had a daughter named Jasmine who had gone abroad to study at 15. From the moment the Lawson family fell until now, Jasmine had never returned to her home country.

“Yes, that's her. I thought she had died long ago. I didn't expect her to get her face changed through plastic surgery. Still, even if her entire face was turned to ashes, I will still recognize her.” Freya’s eyes turned cold, as they were shrouded in a gloomy layer that hid her thoughts.

“Do whatever you need to do. Just remember, no matter what you do or what you go up against, I will support you!” Bradley tightened his grip around her hand as a faint smile spread on his lips. Freya felt warmth grow in her heart as she emphatically nodded.

At that moment, Bradley’s phone rang. He glanced at it and scowled.

The name "Lucy" flashed on the screen.

Freya noticed it and raised her eyebrows, smiling as she said, “Answer it. I’m curious to hear her explanation for what happened earlier. She always plays innocent in front of you.”

With her permission, Bradley answered the call and put it on the speaker. Soon, a sweet voice came through. “Leonard.”

Freya shuddered at the way Lucy said that name. She crossed her arms and leaned back in her seat, fully engrossed in a game with Matthew.

Matthew leaned closer and whispered, “Mommy, is she a bad woman?”

“No, she’s evil spirit!” Freya winked.

“Oh, then let’s fight the evil spirt. Mommy, it’s your turn!” Matthew said with his hands on his hips and a fierce look on his face.

Freya chuckled and ruffled his hair as she smiled with joy.

Over the phone, Lucy said, “Leonard, I’m really sorry. I didn’t realize the person Leah bumped into was Freya. I’ll personally handle this matter and make sure she is punished.”

Bradley rolled up his shirt sleeves to his elbows, lazily propped up his cheek on one hand, and said, “That’s not necessary. Just make sure that woman doesn’t appear in Freya’s presence again.”

“Don’t worry. Leah came to celebrate my birthday. She’ll be returning to Zarovia in a few days.”

Leah?

Freya’s eyebrows shot up as the name sounded familiar. A globally popular supermodel named Leah had recently been in the news. Could it be…?

She immediately called Ella to investigate Leah.

“Leonard, my birthday is coming up in a few days. I’d like to invite you and Ms. Freya to my gala. The invitation has been sent to the villa. I hope to see you there.”

Bradley glanced at Freya, who nodded, before responding, “Okay, Freya and I will be there.”

Without further ado, he hung up. Freya blinked. “Lucy invited you to her birthday party. She must have an ulterior motive.”

“Since you know something's suspicious about it, why did you tell me to attend the party? Freya, what are you up to?” Bradley helplessly sighed.
