Chapter 628 Mourning, you are fierce to me!

Imperial Garden Villa.

Freya rested for a few hours, and the first thing she did when she opened her eyes was to grab Bradley's hand.

"Did Shadow contact you?"

Bradley looked at her pale face, even a bruise on her eyelids, feeling heartbroken.

"Heart, if you keep worrying like this, your body will not be able to bear it sooner or later. Think about our child and me, relax and don't overthink, okay?"

Freya shook her head, trembling as she held his arm, "I just had a dream, in the dream, Matthew was lying on the cold floor convulsing, crying so weakly and sadly, and I could only watch helplessly in the dream. Bradley, can you understand how I feel? Whenever I think of Matthew struggling on the edge of pain, I can't calm down."

Bradley could certainly understand.

He now wished to tear Shadow apart into a million pieces, but there was no news from the dispatched men, so he had to remain calm and wait.

"No news is the best result. Perhaps everything is not as bad as we think!" Bradley wiped away the tears from her eyes. In less than a day, she had lost a lot of weight.

In the past, her face was rosy and radiant, but now it reveals a sickly paleness.

This made him heartbroken!

"Yes, you're right, no news is good news!" Freya's mood suddenly calmed down, she looked up at the man and said, "I'm hungry and want to eat."

"Okay, I'll have someone prepare it right away."

Bradley saw her sudden change in attitude and was very happy, so he quickly had Rosa prepare the food.

...

Half an hour later.

Bradley brought Freya to the dining room and sat down.

Rosa brought out a bowl of soup and, seeing how haggard Freya looked, felt very sorry for her, "Madam doesn't look too good, she really needs to rest more. Pregnant women are all very delicate, almost spending the whole day at home resting and nurturing their fetus. But Madam, you're out and about every day, even a normal person wouldn't be able to bear it, let alone you as a pregnant woman."

These days, Bradley and Freya have hardly been home. Even when they come back, they don't stay for long before hurrying off again.

Rosa always helps Freya prepare the soup in advance, keeping it warm on the stove until it cools down and then reheating it, but she just can't wait for her to come back and take a sip.

Just now Mr. Bradley rushed to arrange things, saying that the lady wanted to eat something, so she called Frederick to help out and quickly made a few dishes.

Fortunately, the soup has been kept warm on the stove, so it can be served right away.

"Oh, where is the young master? Why can't we see him anywhere?"

Rosa looked around, not seeing a single trace of his figure, casually mentioning it.

Then Freya's face instantly fell lonely.

Bradley glanced at Freya, reached out to comfort her by squeezing her warm hand, and turning to Rosa, said, "The young master has been with Doctor these days, so there's no need to worry."

Rosa had no idea what was going on and didn't think much of it. She continued, "Alright then, the lady should have some chicken soup first, pregnant women need nourishment for the baby to grow quickly. Although there may be strong reactions in the first three months, not eating is not an option. The child needs nutrition."

Listening to Rosa rambling on, Freya couldn't help but smile helplessly. In the first three months, the child mainly relies on absorbing the nutrients from the mother's body. Even if the child's nutrition is not supplemented, it will not be unbalanced.

But she didn't expose it, she scooped up a spoonful of soup and started drinking. Rosa's cooking has always been good, but the chicken soup was too greasy. Freya took a sip and felt her stomach churning, so she quickly got up and rushed to the bathroom, vomiting heavily. In fact, her condition had improved in the past few days, but because she was mentally strained and overly tired, her body instinctively sent out signals of weakness. Due to not eating much, she couldn't vomit much except for a mouthful of bitterness. Bradley followed behind her, massaged her back, and carried her up after she finished vomiting. "Freya, from now on, you stay at home and rest well. You are not allowed to step out of the house without my orders." After saying that, he carried her upstairs. At this moment, Freya burst into tears and said, "Bradley, you are being mean to me!" This cry seemed to vent all the grievances in her stomach, tears streaming down and quickly soaking the man's shirt. Bradley saw her crying convulsively and felt his heart ache as if it was breaking.

In this lifetime, what he can't stand the most is her teary-eyed look, like an innocent and pitiful little white rabbit, always able to make him compromise easily.

"Don't cry, I was wrong," he coaxed softly, even attempting to catch her tears, but they fell too fast to be caught at all.

Freya collapsed into his arms, crying with cheeks flushed and eyes swollen, until the tears could no longer fall. She then choked out, "I want to go see Madame Shawn , the blood test results should be out."

"Freya..."

Bradley gritted his teeth as he called out her name, clearly wanting to scold her severely, but upon seeing the tears hanging precariously in her eyes, his heart softened.

"You can go out if you need to, rest well for a while, and I'll personally take you there later."

Freya saw that he was clearly very angry, but forced herself to endure it, knowing how unreasonable she was being at the moment.

But too many people had been hurt because of her, and as the involved party, how could she possibly stand aside?

"Okay, I'll rest for half an hour."

"No, one hour," the man said sternly. Seeing the woman pout with a look that seemed like she was about to cry, the man quickly relented, "Forty-five minutes, no less." Freya wiped away her tears and threw herself into his arms, "Husband, I will listen to you and not push myself too hard, but you cannot restrict my freedom. I may be pregnant, but I am not sick. Many people need me to save lives, and I cannot allow myself to collapse." Although Wena's condition had improved somewhat, as long as he didn't wake up for a day, there could be a change at any moment. The organ failure symptoms of Elder Mu had not been controlled, and he could again be in mortal danger. Madam Shawn 's situation was also not very optimistic... The only thing to be grateful for was that Mina was gradually recovering and had been brought back for recuperation. Furthermore, the little black-hearted ghost's leg ailment had healed, and now he could run around freely. With so many people still needing her, she had no right to fall down! "Okay, as long as you're happy, everything is up to you!" Bradley knew the burden of responsibility she carried.

This young woman may appear aloof, but deep down she is kinder than anyone. If someone shows her even a little sincerity, she will surely give back tenfold in return.
