Chapter 752: News of Death

The man's knife gestured on Xavier's body.

He had lived alone in this underground maze for a full five years, thinking he would be lonely until death. But in just a few days, he managed to capture two living people.

A man and a woman.

If they could be raised like vampire bats to help him guard this underground maze, who else would dare to intrude here in the future?

With this thought, a sinister smile uncontrollably appeared on the man's lips.

Due to excitement, his hand holding the surgical knife was shaking faintly.

After a moment, he used the sharp blade to ruthlessly slash towards the man's abdomen.

Outside, Bradley carefully knocked on every wall, finally finding a mechanism in a hidden location.

A door suddenly appeared on the wall, Bradley took the torch from his subordinates and strode in. The man who was about to strike with his knife suddenly heard a noise, his eyes turning cold. The candles were immediately extinguished, before Bradley could take Xavier away, the bright light shying in. Realizing the situation was bad, he had no choice but to abandon the experiment and jump into another door. When Bradley entered, he only saw a figure passing by, before hearing the urgent voice of his subordinates. "Young master, we found the right-hand man!" Bradley quickened his pace and approached. He saw Xavier lying on an old bed, covered in blood. What he found most unacceptable was the face, which was already unrecognizable! His heart tightened as he leaned in to check for signs of breathing.

Soon, the undisguised joy appeared on his face.

He's still alive!

"Quick, take him out for treatment."

Several subordinates quickly surrounded him, preparing to carry Xavier away, but suddenly, his fingers moved slightly.

Then, a faint voice was heard.

"Chen..."

"Young Master, the right-hand man is speaking!"

After hearing this, Bradley leaned in close and clearly heard Xavier's voice, "Don't... let... her... see... me... like this..."

Bradley understood who "she" referred to.

He clenched his fist tightly and gestured to his subordinates, "Send him directly back to the organization. Also, go inform Miss Mi that Xavier's remains have been found..."

The current Xavier, his appearance is completely ruined. Now he can only rely on a thread of life, whether he can survive is still unknown.

He does not want Ella to see him in this state, so let's just... consider him dead!

Inside the cockpit.

When Ella learned of Xavier's death, she slumped to the ground weakly.

Her entire face was pale as death, devoid of any trace of color.

"Dead... dead?" She kept murmuring these words, her facial expression strange, not knowing if she was crying or laughing.

"Dead? Haha!"

Finally, she burst into laughter, but amidst the laughter, tears streamed down her face.

"He said... not to make him wait too long. I haven't become his wife yet, haven't borne his children. How could he die?" Ella's face was covered in tears, but there was no hint of joy in her eyes.

It is as if the soul has left the body, leaving behind an empty shell of a person.

Suddenly, she shook her head desperately and hoarsely said, "No, even if he's dead, I must see his body, take me to him."

"Miss Mi, the remains are still in the underground maze, the young master just asked us to come back and report."

Upon hearing this, Ella forced herself to get up from the ground and stumbled off the plane.

After taking only a few steps, she saw a group of people coming out of Spirit Pavilion, neatly arranged in two rows.

Bradley walked out and followed by his subordinates, holding a box in his hand.

Ella hurriedly went up to him and asked hoarsely, "Bradley, where is Xavier?"

Bradley waved his hand at his subordinates, who approached with the box and said in a heavy voice, "Miss Mi, this is his... his remains."

Boom!

Like a thunderbolt striking, Ella froze in place.

She shivered as she reached out with both hands to pick up the box, but her body felt as if all her strength had been drained, and she couldn't lift her hands.

"When we found him, there was only a pile of white bones on the ground. If it wasn't for the clothes confirming it was him, I wouldn't have believed that he had already..."

Bradley paused, and handed over a bloody garment, "The dead cannot be brought back to life, embrace the grief!"

The words "embrace the grief" caused Ella to completely lose control of her emotions, she looked up and howled, bursting into tears.

Bradley knew that this was very cruel.

But, short pain is better than long pain, and ying day, Ella will understand Yun Xavier's good intentions.

He sighed deeply and boarded the plane.

At this moment, Freya had not yet woken up.

When Bradley entered, the doctor was taking her temperature.

"How is her condition?"

A deep voice sounded behind him. The doctor turned slowly and saw him, nodding respectfully, "The high fever seems to be subsiding, but the lady is still in a nightmare and has not truly awakened."

"You may leave."

The man waved his hand.

"Yes."

After the doctor left, he sat down by the bed, reached into the covers, and grabbed her small hand, holding it tightly in his palm.

"Freya, I'm back."

He gently caressed her skin, as if cherishing a beloved object.

The sleeping girl seemed to sense his presence, and her fingers moved slightly.

Bradley felt a sense of joy in his heart and held her tighter.

Then, her captivating eyelashes slowly opened, shining bright like the night sky filled with countless stars.

After a moment of chaos, all consciousness gradually returned to the brain. Freya suddenly sat up from the bed and asked urgently, "Where is Ella? Where is Dr. Xavier?"

Bradley gently embraced her and said in a solemn tying, "You have experienced the attack of vampires, so you naturally understand how powerful their fangs are. Moreover, Xavier was taken away by a large group of toFreyas..."

"Are you saying that Xavier..."

Although she had expected that the outcome would not be favorable, this result still made it difficult for her to accept it for a moment.

"Yes."

Bradley gave a definite answer. Xavier had already been secretly sent back on the way to the organization. However, just now, the subordinates reported that he suddenly had no breath.

Even he was not sure if Xavier could safely escape this disaster.

The hope of survival was dim, so there was no need to trigger unnecessary speculation.

"How could this happen?" Freya trembled in his arms, speaking hoarsely, "Does Ella know?"

"Mmm, just found out."

"Where is she? I'll go see her."

After Freya finished speaking, she left Bradley's embrace and walked towards the outside.

The relationship between Xavier and Ella was hard-won. Now, upon hearing the news of Xavier's death, can Ella withstand it?

Boom!

Thunder roared through the sky.

The lightning and thunder came quickly, and soon the entire sky seemed to be on the verge of collapsing, with huge raindrops crazily falling down in an instant.
