Chapter 783 Knife Wound

Simon was in bad shape.

Bradley was Freya's dedicated assistant, which meant that he would always be by her side when she was checking her body.

Bradley had always been extremely fond of Freya, to the point where he would get jealous if someone looked at her too long.

If Freya were to help him change his bandages, there would inevitably be some physical contact. If Bradley got jealous, would he have a good time?

Moreover, in the previous fifth assassination attempt, he was shot by Bradley.

With Bradley's keen vigilance, he might discover his wound.

If that happened, he wouldn't be able to explain it!

"The lady is pregnant, there's no need to trouble her. Besides, my injury is nothing serious, let the nurse take care of it!"

At this point, he could only prevent Freya from getting close to him.

As long as she doesn't come, Bradley naturally won't pay attention to himself!

Freya said, "How can you say it's no big deal, the wound on your body is a foot deep, if it doesn't heal properly, it's easy to leave hidden troubles. Besides, you were injured at the Royal Garden Manor, logically and emotionally I should help you!"

"Freya is right, you are responsible for the old master's condition, and now that Xavier is not here, the entire medical room's burden is on you, not allowing the slightest mistake!"

Bradley crossed his hands, lazily leaning against the wall, but his eyes looking at Simon were dark and unclear.

Clearly just a casual glance, but it made Simon's scalp tingle.

At this moment, he regretted deeply!

If he had known, he wouldn't have used the plan of fake injury. Now, not only did he attract unwanted attention, but there was also the risk of exposure.

So, all the plans he had painstakingly planned for so long were all in vain!

Simon couldn't stop the two from approaching him, so he had no choice but to let Freya handle his wound with a stiff upper lip.

He had deliberately concealed the wound on his back before, so Freya didn't notice.

"But he couldn't guarantee whether he could get away with it this time! Now, we can only take it ying step at a time! 'Dr. White, lie down first. Let me check the recovery of your wound,' Freya said lightly. Simon reluctantly lay down, trying to conceal the wound on his back as much as possible. Freya might not pay too much attention to it as a woman, but Bradley was different. He had already started to doubt himself and was bound to thoroughly investigate Everyone about himself. Freya was about to uncover Simon's gauze when unexpectedly Bradley took the lead and said, 'Let me do it.' Seeing Bradley about to take action, Simon panicked. 'Young Master's status is noble, not suitable for this kind of service. Let me do it myself.' With that, Simon uncovered the cloth around his waist, but he couldn't undo the gauze by himself, so he had to ask Bradley for help. The wound had recovered very well. Freya quickly reapplied the medication and bandage, telling him not to touch water. Just when Simon thought he had escaped, Bradley asked, 'Dr. White doesn't look too good. Is there somewhere else that's uncomfortable?'"

"No, I'm not uncomfortable." Simon said urgently.

Bradley remained silent, his tying light, "With Xavier going, the entire medical room's responsibility now falls on Dr. White. You are currently in charge of the Old Master's condition, and there is no room for any mistakes. For safety reasons, it's better to have a full body checkup."

Simon swallowed nervously.

If he went for a full body checkup, would he be able to hide the gunshot wound on his back?

No, absolutely not.

He tried to remain calm, his voice hoarse, "Young Master, you don't need to worry. I know my own body well and won't delay the Old Master's treatment."

Freya wasn't sure what Bradley intended to do, but she added, "That's right, Dr. White, if you're feeling unwell, don't force yourself."

"I really am fine," Simon insisted.

But the more he insisted that nothing was wrong, Bradley was more insistent on him getting checked. Simon knew that excessive concealment would only arouse more suspicion. After some thought, he finally agreed, "Alright, let's do as the Madam says." And so, Simon underwent a full-body examination, but before the examination, he went to the toilet and came out looking much better. However, Bradley, seeing him looking refreshed, couldn't shake the feeling that something was off. In order to make sure there were no other injuries on Simon's body, Bradley signaled for him to remove his shirt. At that moment, he clearly saw the bandages wrapped around his back. The man furrowed his brows deeply and asked, "What happened to the injury on your back, Dr. White?" "I didn't want to worry the young master before, so I've been concealing the details. In fact, I was stabbed before, injuring my back. I was afraid of causing panic, so I just wrapped it up simply without making a fuss." "Let me see." Bradley reached out to unwrap the bandage. When he saw that it was a knife wound instead of a gunshot wound, his pupils dilated sharply.

Freya checked the wound and said, "The knife wound is not deep, but it has started to pus due to improper handling."

"It's all my fault. I should have informed the young master in time, so the same thing wouldn't happen twice."

Simon looked guilty and said, "I don't know who I have offended, someone actually wants to take my life."

Upon hearing this, Bradley furrowed his brows, feeling that something was not right.

The sniper disappeared at the Royal Garden Villa that day. South and his brothers searched every corner but could not find the sniper's whereabouts. The only suspicious place was the medical room.

That night, there were only the on-duty nurse, the assistant doctor, and Simon. Among them, Simon appeared the most suspicious.

Bradley thought that as long as it was confirmed Simon had a gunshot wound on his back, it would prove that Simon was the sniper.

Simon was unexpectedly stabbed for no reason, not with a gunshot on his back, but a knife wound.

Where did the problem lie?

Could it be... I was really wrong?

Freya carefully helped him treat the wound and asked, "Did Dr. White offend anyone before?"

Simon shook his head, "I have always been working with Dr. Xavier, living a simple and regular life, I shouldn't have offended anyone."

He thought seriously, his brow furrowed deeply.

Suddenly, his pupils shrank, "Oh right, a few times before when I returned late from the old house to the medical room, I occasionally saw a dark figure wandering around, could it be that I saw something I shouldn't have, causing the other party to want to kill me?"

"A dark figure? Could you make out the person's face?"

Freya asked.

Simon lightly tapped his forehead and said, "No, it was too dark at the time, couldn't see the face, but judging by the body size, the person was a man."

Freya asked a few more questions, while Bradley continued to attentively gaze at Simon.
