Chapter 1177 Being Ambushed

Bradley took the pill. Although they had taken protective measures before coming, he had also witnessed the toxicity of the mutated venom. As long as one was contaminated with even a little bit, they would lose control.

"No, there's something wrong with this venom." Freya squinted her eyes fiercely and said, "The smell isn't strong enough, and the color isn't as vivid as before. It looks very much like an uncompleted semi-finished product."

Bradley looked around. There were quite a few test tubes neatly arranged on the shelf not far away. He pointed and said, "Freya, look at the solutions in those test tubes. Don't they have different colors too?"

Freya looked in the direction he pointed. Sure enough, she saw those solutions. It was just that the colors seemed to be slightly different, and they really looked strange from a distance.

She stepped forward, carefully observed the venom, and then looked around at the environment. Suddenly, she had an epiphany and said, "I understand. The process of researching the mutated venom is extremely complicated. Using the same few raw materials with the same proportion, it needs to go through the appropriate temperature and environmental humidity, and finally mutate spontaneously in the air.

However, because the gas molecules in the air are unstable, air ionization is likely to occur, forming negatively charged gas molecules. Plus, there are too many substances in the air, and each of them will change due to environmental factors, ultimately causing the venom to mutate differently.

This can explain why the colors of these venoms are different. It's because the chemical reactions they produce change with various external interferences. Different reactions will naturally lead to color differences.

Of course, these venoms are all failures. The real mutated venom is the kind mastered by the Lady, which is a clear blue and crystal-clear, very much like the color of the primitive sea, and only then can it exert its maximum effect."

Bradley didn't understand this and listened in a confused way. He asked doubtfully, "According to what you said, the chance of success is very small, and it's difficult to research the mutated venom with a perfect color?"

Freya curled the corner of her lips and smiled. "You're right. Precisely because of the difficulty of research, the Lady has so little venom in her possession. Moreover, since the venom isn't mature, she doesn't dare to make it public easily. She can only choose to send people to the hotel to become her test subjects."

Bradley took another look at the venom. The colors were various shades of blue, very similar, but there were still differences when looking closely.

It seemed that what Freya said was right. These were all failures.

"Since the mutated venom is so difficult to research, maybe it hasn't really leaked out yet. As long as we destroy these venoms and catch Li Fang, it's equivalent to destroying all of the Lady's plans."

Freya took out two silver needles from her waist and grinned. "You're right. We have to find Li Fang quickly and control him."

After saying that, the two silver needles flew out and directly pierced into the necks of the two assistants, making the two who were just starting to wake up fall into a coma again.

"Let's go." Freya said.

The two of them passed through a corridor and found the confidential room according to the location Gabriel had mentioned.

Li Fang was researching inside. He was a crazy person obsessed with research and didn't feel sleepy at all even if he didn't sleep for several days and nights.

The two of them sneaked in and from a distance, they saw a man wearing a white coat and with dark skin standing in front of the experimental table.

And in front of him, there were also quite a few test tubes.

As for the solution in the test tubes, it was also blue, but it was a clearer and darker blue compared to the ones outside.

Freya made a bold guess. The two assistants outside were just responsible for observing the mutation of the venom, selecting the venoms that were probably successful, and then sending them to Li Fang for a second mutation.

However, obviously, the colors of these venoms still didn't reach that successful blue color.

Perhaps hearing some movement behind him, Li Fang said impatiently, "Bring over the other solutions."

After so many years of research, the mutations of the venom were different, and Li Fang was obviously a bit nervous. Plus, he hadn't closed his eyes for a long time, and his voice was hoarse with fatigue.

Freya and Bradley looked at each other and then slipped away one after another to hide, waiting for the right opportunity to arrest him.

The reason they didn't act now was that they were worried that Li Fang would resist. After all, there were so many venoms placed in front of him. Who knew what the consequences would be if they were contaminated with these poisons.

Li Fang didn't get a response for a long time and obviously sensed that something was wrong. He suddenly turned his head to look around.

"Who is it? Come out."

He casually grabbed the scalpel in front of him and stepped closer.

"Don't be paranoid. Get out here." The man's voice was filled with hostility.

From Freya's angle, she could clearly see Li Fang's general appearance.

Because of his dark skin, when he opened his mouth, his white teeth were revealed. The key was that those sharp eyes were bathed in the darkness, with a cold glint.

He was of a strong build, standing at a full 1.9 meters tall. But because of bending over to do experiments all year round, his back was slightly hunched.

With each step he took closer, Freya clenched the silver needles, ready to strike at any moment.

Suddenly, Li Fang stopped in front of the shelf, his eyes fixed on one direction, like a wolf eyeing its prey.

Freya held her breath. When the other person came in front of her, the silver needle in her hand flew out and hit Li Fang's calf right on the mark.

"Ah!"

With a shrill scream from the man, Li Fang bent his knees and knelt to the ground.

And Freya only felt a slight pain in her waist, as if something had pierced into her flesh. Gradually, she suddenly felt weak.

What was going on?

Freya lowered her eyes and saw a small syringe lying on the ground.

Damn it!

While she was ambushing Li Fang, she had carelessly been ambushed by him too.

The feeling of weakness came quickly. Gradually, she couldn't support the weight of her body and also slumped down and sat on the ground.

Bradley, who was hiding on the other side, saw this and slipped out to arrest Li Fang. Unexpectedly, the dagger in the other person's hand was directly thrown at Bradley.

Bradley barely avoided it and was about to step forward when the flying powder made him instinctively raise his hand to block it. Seeing this situation, Li Fang endured the pain and stumbled away in the opposite direction with Freya.

When Bradley reacted, the two had disappeared into the mechanism on the opposite side.

"Freya." He called Freya's name loudly, but in the huge environment, he didn't hear any sound except his own echo.

Bradley searched everywhere for the location of the mechanism. Or perhaps because of his anxiety, he couldn't find the entrance of the mechanism no matter how hard he searched.

He lost his patience and kicked the experimental shelf angrily. The test tubes placed on it fell down with a crackling sound.

As the glass shattered, the solution inside spilled all over the ground. Various colors blended together, emitting a strange smell.

Bradley quickly covered his nose with his hand and left the confidential room as fast as he could.

At the moment, the two assistants were still in a coma. Bradley called Gabriel and directly took the two of them away. After leaving the laboratory, he kicked the male assistant's abdomen heavily.

"Tell me, where is the mechanism of the confidential room?"
