Chapter 1202 The Organ Donor Cannot Be Matched

Yun Xiangcheng hadn't told Freya about this before. It was only recently that his friend sent a message saying that it was possible that a suitable organ donor couldn't be found and asked him to be mentally prepared.

After careful consideration, Yun Xiangcheng decided to tell Freya this fact.

Freya found it hard to accept and asked, "Is there really no hope?"

She had always held onto hope, but she didn't expect to get such a result in the end.

Yun Xiangcheng pushed an inspection report in front of her and said in a solemn voice, "Zhou Jing's constitution is rather special. Many of her indicators have mutated. An ordinary organ donor simply can't be accepted. If a heart transplant is forced, there may be a strong rejection reaction. In the end, Zhou Jing will suffer even greater pain and may even be in life danger."

Upon hearing this, Freya took the report with trembling hands and quickly read through it. When she saw that all the indicators had mutated, her face turned pale.

It seemed that the venom leakage had caused a great deal of harm to Zhou Minsheng's family.

What puzzled her was that Zhou Jing had been in the hospital due to heart problems before the venom leakage. So why did she also have the same mutation as Zhou Minsheng?

Freya frowned tightly and read the report carefully again.

Especially all the indicators, she double-checked them.

The more she looked, the more abnormal Freya felt it was.

"Doctor Yun, I need to conduct a further examination of Zhou Jing's condition." Freya felt that Zhou Jing's illness was not as simple as it seemed on the surface. If the mutation had occurred before the venom leakage, it meant that there was something wrong with Zhou Jing's blood type itself.

This could explain that Zhou Minsheng had hidden something from her.

Zhou Minsheng had said before that Zhou Jing had congenital heart disease and had been receiving treatment in the hospital.

If there hadn't been the struggle between the Long family and Bradley, the animalistic venom wouldn't have flowed into the village, resulting in his wife's poisoning and death, his right leg being crippled, and him getting gastric cancer.

Freya had believed Zhou Minsheng's words completely because Bradley had sent people to investigate this matter. They had indeed found a farm not far from the laboratory and had taken water samples for inspection, which confirmed that the water source had been contaminated.

But now, with Zhou Jing's situation looking strange, Freya began to doubt the truth of what Zhou Minsheng had said!

Seeing that her face didn't look good, Yun Xiangcheng nodded and went to make arrangements.

The two of them went to Zhou Jing's ward. Because Zhou Jing's condition was not stable, she had been in a coma.

Yun Xiangcheng briefly described Zhou Jing's recent situation. Since she was admitted, she had undergone one operation, and her vital signs had been stable, but she had remained unconscious.

They had been waiting for an organ donor, but they still hadn't received any good news.

In Zhou Jing's situation, if she didn't receive a suitable organ donor in time, she probably wouldn't last long.

Of course, even if an organ donor was found, with her physical condition, it wasn't certain that she could accept it. If there was a rejection reaction, she still wouldn't be able to survive this ordeal.

Freya listened quietly and then picked up all of Zhou Jing's inspection reports and started reading them.

Before Zhou Jing was sent to the medical room, the original hospital had handed over all the medical records.

Freya had read these medical records before, and all the indicators had seemed normal at that time. But now, when compared with Yun Xiangcheng's report, she found a big difference, as if someone had tampered with them.

"Doctor Yun, I need you to do me a favor." After taking Zhou Jing's pulse, Freya found that there was not much change compared to before. But precisely because it was normal, it was even more strange.

"Okay, what is it?"

"I need you to help me find Zhou Jing's original attending doctor. I want to know more about Zhou Jing's situation."

Yun Xiangcheng knew Freya well. If she hadn't found something, she wouldn't be so nervous.

He immediately sent someone to do it.

However, the person sent back a message saying that the attending doctor had resigned after Zhou Jing was transferred.

After hearing this news, Freya was even more certain that there was something wrong with Zhou Jing's situation, and this attending doctor was the key to the truth of Zhou Jing's illness.

She then went to Zhou Minsheng to find out the situation. There were two explanations for the unclear condition of Zhou Jing.

Either the people in the hospital were hiding the truth, or... Zhou Minsheng was lying!

...

After the acupuncture, Zhou Minsheng had fallen asleep.

Freya waited in the ward until Zhou Minsheng woke up in the evening.

When he opened his eyes and saw Freya, his eyes were slightly dazed.

Freya moved closer and sat opposite him, and told him the situation of Zhou Jing truthfully. "Mr. Zhou, I think it's necessary for you to know about Zhou Jing's illness."

Upon hearing this, Zhou Minsheng became a bit nervous and asked in a trembling voice, "Tell me. I can take it."

Freya said solemnly, "Doctor Yun just told me that there is something wrong with the organ donor for Zhou Jing, and we should be mentally prepared."

As she spoke, she paid attention to Zhou Minsheng's expression. He was clearly very surprised, and the look of sorrow on his face couldn't be hidden, which clearly wasn't faked.

Was she wrong? Was Zhou Minsheng not lying?

Or was he also kept in the dark about the truth?

Freya continued, "Zhou Jing's indicators are not satisfactory, and there has been a mutation. In simple terms, there has always been something wrong with Zhou Jing's blood type, which is why an organ donor can't be matched.

I would like to ask you, Mr. Zhou, how much do you know about Zhou Jing's situation? Or, is Zhou Jing's illness really congenital?"

After asking this question, Zhou Minsheng's face clearly turned ugly.

He looked at Freya, trying his best to hide his emotions, but his voice still clearly revealed his displeasure. "Do you mean that I'm lying to you, Doctor Xia?"

Freya shook her head. "Mr. Zhou, there's no need to be so agitated. I'm just trying to find the root of the problem. If you didn't hide Zhou Jing's illness, it means that there is something wrong with Zhou Jing's previous attending doctor.

Just now, I asked Doctor Yun to investigate at the original hospital. Doctor Li, Zhou Jing's attending doctor, resigned not long after Zhou Jing was transferred. Don't you think this is very strange, Mr. Zhou?"

Upon hearing this, Zhou Minsheng's emotions calmed down a bit. He said, "Doctor Li has always been in charge of Jing'er's illness. How could there be a problem? And Jing'er does have congenital heart disease. I didn't hide that."

After saying that, Zhou Minsheng let out a deep sigh and said, "But there is one thing I did hide from you. In fact, Jing'er is not my biological daughter. She is an abandoned baby that my wife and I picked up. As for our own child, he died prematurely just one month after birth."

Freya was somewhat surprised by this truth.

No wonder she had previously studied the blood types of Zhou Minsheng and Zhou Jing and found that they didn't match at all.

She had always thought that Zhou Jing might have inherited from Mrs. Zhou, so she hadn't delved deeper. She didn't expect that Zhou Jing wasn't the child of Zhou Minsheng and Mrs. Zhou, but an abandoned baby.
