A knock at the door stopped my retort.

"Enter," Ryan commanded, his rigid posture relaxing.

A girl my age came in, eyes downcast on the floor. "Alpha, you wanted to see me?"

"Yes. Lyra, this is Sally Wagstaff, she will show you where you will stay."
