It was Monday morning and I was still reeling over dinner with my parents. None of them had called me to apologize for embarrassing me the way they had and even though I hadn’t expected them to, it still hurt.

My family didn’t care enough to call me after hurting me.

Well, there was nothing else to do other than to put on my big girl pants and face the world. I could deal with my family later.
