The next night Dan sat in his office in the dark still in shock about the news he just received about Melissa and his baby dying. His hands shook as he grabbed the bottle on his desk, drinking out of it without a cup as fresh tears fell down his face. He had lost everything. Not only his wife, but now a child he would never know. The constant pain of losing the ones he even started to care about began to weigh heavily on him.
