When I saw the redness in Daisy's eyes, I froze—my fist, mid-air, just stopped.

I finally snapped out of it. Damn it. I hated losing control, especially in front of others. I'd never let my emotions show like that before, let alone throw a punch like some angry kid. But seeing Daisy defend another man like that—it messed with me.
