Daisy's POV

I spun around at the sound of footsteps—Alan was standing by the elevator at the end of the lobby, and his face looked downright stormy.

He marched up to me, eyes locked on the roses in my arms and the jewelry box in my hand. There was a flash of jealousy and fury in his gaze.

"Daisy," he said in a low, threatening voice, "I didn't think you were this cheap. Are you seriously trying to seduce Andrew?"
