Daisy turning me down kinda put me in a bad mood.

I couldn't even tell you why. She was just a regular woman—pretty, sure—but there was something about her that kept pulling me in. I had gone out of my way for her more than once.

Maybe it was because she reminded me of that lady.

I pulled out a photo tucked inside my wallet. My fingers traced the soft smile on her face in the picture. A mess of emotions twisted in my chest.
