Where was the boys? I asked with panic ringing in my ears as I realized that I couldn't see them behind me any longer. Maybe the boars had finally caught up to them and they were fighting it. I knew looking for them would be stupid and nothing but a distraction that they didn't need and decided to stay where I was and wait for them.

I trusted them. They wouldn't leave without me. If they were done, they would find me and we would continue on our journey.
