"Isla, believe me." I called out to her desperately as Ed forcefully pulled me away from her direction.

Max looked extremely smug as Isla buried herself into him, looking up with those huge saucer eyes of hers. She was so beautiful, and she did not deserve to be treated so badly. Max did not care about Isla like she believed him to. He was a liar.
