The rain hammered hard against the windows, rattling violently, but I felt safe in this room with Alpha Kieran. He placed an arm around my shoulders, making that storm feel like a million miles away. Closing my eyes for a split second, I listened to the crackle of the fire and beating of Kieran’s heart against my ear as I snuggled into him.
