Leo's POV

I watched as Max escorted Aurora up the grand staircase; her chains had been taken off and discarded. She was holding Max's hand, and I felt my stomach churn at the sight of them. Max always had a way of convincing people to trust his words, even if they didn't want to. It was part of his games. He would pull her in slowly and get what he wanted, what we both wanted. I hoped it would work out the way that we wanted it to.
