I woke with a jolt, sweat dripping from my forehead. I was alone, surrounded by darkness. Where the hell was I?

Suddenly, an excruciating pain rippled through me, causing a loud shriek to escape my lips. Wincing, I tried to breathe through it and calm myself down, but it was too strong. I felt powerless against it.

Closing my eyes, I could feel tears brimming. What the heck was happening to me? But then, the pain vanished as if it had never been there. ...
