There was something strange in the air tonight as I lay in my bed, darkness wrapped around me like a thick winter blanket. I closed my eyes, but I couldn’t stop thinking about her. My mummy. I missed her so much that it hurts every night. I wish she were here beside me, wrapping me in her arms, telling me everything was okay, and reading me a bedtime story.
