As I sat beside Dave on the hospital bed, I couldn’t help feeling distraught. The bond I shared with Dane intensified my despair. His misery flowed through the bond and pulled at me. He was pacing outside the small hospital room where Dave was, restless as hell. He would rub his chest, peek through the door, and then pace.
