“This is getting so weird!” I hissed, looking at the phone after disconnecting it. Joe sounded desperate. I was afraid that there was no one for them to look after. What about their food or other basic needs? I closed my eyes and tilted my head up, thinking about Martha. She was so enthusiastic about this contract.
