I couldn't help but laugh when Nate and I parted ways. I laughed even harder when I saw how weird and wiggly his face had become. 

  “What happened? What did I do?” I slur.

“Damn it.” Nate curses while trying to hold me steady. My vision morphs making his lips bigger as he talk. Everything around me seems to spin. “You’re too drained of magic.”
