Belle woke up and Ben wasn't beside her. She sat up and looked around but didn't see him. Falling back on the pillows, she lay back down with a sigh, assuming he had left while she was still asleep.

Her assumption was wrong because Ben soon opened the door to the room and came in with a tray in his hands. He kept it on the bed carefully, before leaning into her and kissing her on the cheeks.
