He’d gotten in really late the night before and had simply climbed the stairs to his bedroom and collapsed onto the king-size bed, sans clothes. He was questioning his decision to come home at all. He should’ve just stayed at The Mayfield, at least then all he’d have to do was pick up a phone and someone would bring him coffee. He doubted that his assistant Patricia would be too pleased with him if he rang her and demanded she bring him coffee. And he needed his damn coffee!
