“The PSAT is useless. It’s not even the real SATs. Remind me why do I have to take it again?” Emma sighed dramatically as she slumped down on the couch.

“Because it’ll help you get a feel of the actual SATs,” I said and I took the spot next to her. She immediately curled herself into my arm, a habit I now came to love.

“It’s stupid though. And hard,” she looked up at me and asked, “Did you take your PSATs?”
