Violet walked towards the dining room with heavy steps. She could hear the sound of people talking and laughing. Mostly she was hearing Dylan, Ivy, and Talia’s voices, talking about babies. She stopped before entering the room and took a deep breath. It wasn’t that she was dreading having dinner with her family and friends, but she was dreading having to hear from them about Damon not being there. They’ll probably ask questions that she has no answer to.
