"Did you sleep well?" I whispered, seeing Emily lying silently in my arms. She had been awake for a while now, yet she didn't put an effort into moving.

"I did," she said, lifting her gaze to look back at me. Her blue eyes were darker than usual, and she looked happy and relaxed.

"And you?" She asked, her voice warm like a summer breeze.

"Same," I said huskily, kissing her on the forehead.
