"Where's my son?" I asked, closing the door behind me and facing Devon. 

My face was clouded with worry, and my hands trembled at my sides. Devon crossed his arms over his chest and looked at me with an unreadable expression.

 "I don't trust you," he said, "So  I sent my beta to drop him off at the pack." My mouth dropped open in disbelief.
