“What did you do?” I asked. “There has to be something… or some kind of trick… uh, a magic!” I hissed, my wide eyes snapping up at him. My hand grabbed his collar and pulled him closer to me and inspected his hair, ruffling it, and the back of his head, shaking his collar.

I grabbed the cards and frantically flipped them over, checking if they were all ace of spades. But no, there were different cards.
