"Thanks, Mary, and please let him know that I'll come find him after I finish patrol," Dante instructed.

She nodded. "Yes, Alpha." Her curious gaze shifted to me. "Would you and your guest like to eat breakfast right now?" The emphasis on the word "guest" left me wondering if Dante had many of them.

"Are you hungry, princess?" Dante asked, looking over at me.

I shook my head. "No, thank you. I can wait until we get back."
