It had been a goddamn week since Angel was taken from me, and we weren’t getting answers fast enough. Despite Akira’s relentless pursuit and capture of one of Jett’s higher-ups, we weren’t getting anywhere after two grueling days of torturing him.

“Where the fuck is my mate?!” I growled menacingly, pressing the silver blade deeper into his chest, fresh-blood pouring out onto my already-soaked hand.
