With a silent command, the flames vanished. We waited, breaths held, to ensure he was truly dead before I shifted. Dante rushed to my side, wrapped me tightly in his arms. My throat burned as I cried out in joy. He was dead. He was finally fucking dead and he would never hurt anyone ever again!

Rashaad appeared. "Angel, we found-" he paused, his eyes widening as he saw the charred corpse. "Damn, Luna, you're a badass!"
