My fallen brethren lay scattered on the ground, many of them headless or shredded into pieces. The stench of death was horrific, yet no worse than what I endured in the caves. King Jett was a merciless leader, killing anyone who dared question or defy him without hesitation. Although, it did mean plenty of food for us.
