The judge read out the pages of the introduction to open the trial. He also read out every rule that the participants in the trial, including the appointed witnesses, had to abide by. What a waste of my time.

The trial was weird. The person preventing me from obtaining legal guardianship wasn't a family member or relative of Gemma. I didn't know what the judge had in mind to allow that to happen.
