Zachary's words that day demonstrated to Scarlett his desire to be a responsible parent to the boys, and based on her observations thus far, she was confident he was managing well. It was beautiful to observe him, surpassing her expectations, and the boys appeared more happy with him—possibly even more than they had ever been with her.
